'Warning: Illegal string offset' errors - reply

GoDaddy confirms that our server was upgraded to WordPress 4.7.4 on Saturday 4/22 but we did not start experiencing the errors until Monday morning (4/24).

I have tried disabling all plugins and clearing the cache. No effect. We had to revert to Baskerville theme just to get our site running again. Our site looks like crap without the NewsMag theme. 🙂

This issue turned out to be a hosting issue with some sort of “server event” happening this morning according to the host.
