Finally solved the issue….

As a security measure, I had in my wp-content directory an htaccess file to restrict access to certain file extensions. When I added in the file extensions for fonts (ttf|ttc|svg|otf|eot|woff|woff2), it solved the issue.

I have tried to implement ALL suggestions…it is STILL not working.

I do NOT have a CDN …please assist with this issue!

Also, you mention to “try a few variations” … to what variations are you referring?

So is it my domain’s htaccess or the CDN htaccess that has to be changed? The code from stackexchange is stating that it is the CDN htaccess. I do not have access to the CDN.

No, the problem STILL persists. This problem is not just with the social sharing icons, but other icon elements as well….arrows, search, view, comment, stars, etc.

I also recently used the following suggestion for htaccess:

Nope… still does not work. I really would like this fixed. It is extremely irritating.

As an alternative, is there a way to change the code so that instead of referencing a “font” that they reference an actual image??? I don’t understand why this portion of the theme was made so much more complicated than it should be.

I had already previously updated the htaccess from the link that you are referencing.

(I do not know what you mean by “convert the commas” as there are no commas in the code).

Additionally, how would I go about to reset/clear the CDN files?
