All the other’s are fine in one column.

Inline single image for the logo

Inline text for the description

The description has their company info and includes email and website address.

How do I make these clickable links please ?

Ok, so you would create the whole page in TD Composer? with a row for every profession? and set an extra class in each?

Then create a custom link for each profession in the menu and add the relevant code?

I have been using the Block Editor to create the page and adding an anchor under advance tab there?

How would you create the page in TD composer?

Company logo aligned left with copy on right.

Also Calin, I have 105 professions in total! a lot .. how can show the drop down in columns rather than one huge long list?… I understand this is not achievable once viewed on mobile.

Hi Calin,

Sorry its not working, this is very confusing. I have removed the Business Directory 2 page from the menu and replaced with a custom link ‘Business Directory’ this has no URL or link.

Then I have all the professions as custom links and as sub-menus under ‘Business Directory’ as you can see.

Each one have the have the url link to include the anchor as follows:

On further investigation….

Once first landed on page ..if I go to menu ‘business directory’ the drop down sub menus they all appear in white and it works!, but then try again they are all highlighted blue and do not work?

Then click on say ‘news’ go to that page or post. Then try again ‘business directory’ back to white and work again!

Hopefully there is a simply solution? .. is it a cache issue?

Do I ignore the WordPress setting > Media Settings ??…

I have read…that a feature image size of 1200 x 630 is most commonly used, for responsive purposes and sharing a post etc ??

Also I have all the settings switched on under theme block settings including the retina … is the correct?

I am also creating my in post images at 1068 x 712 … is this a good size ?

Hi Calin

Ok, now I’m a little confused as completely new to Newspaper. How would you recommend I structure this please, I have not built any pages or posts yet, just have been collecting the various content I need, and make sure I do the best preparation first before I really start the build.

1. I would like the layout to look very similar to your ‘Default Newspaper Pro’

2. This is a community Hub Website. So to include Schools, Church, Doctors, Sports and Activity Clubs, Leisure and Entertainment, etc etc.

3. I have all these individual ‘Clubs/Amenities’ information to create a page or post? of their profile, 300 words plus a few pics, contact details etc. These will all need to be a permanent point of reference to the user and will be in header main menu as drop downs.

4. I have about 40 of these profiles and that will grow. Some will not be giving me much to post articles about and some will send me continuous articles to post.

5. The problem is at the time I launch, I shall only have these profiles initially to display, their articles will come as and when at a later date.

6. The main Categories are as follows:

Community Centre, Memorial Hall, Core Amenities, Sports and Activities, Leisure and Entertainment, Local Business Directory, Views from the Rise

Obviously each ‘profile’ will fall under one of these categories.

Your recommendation and knowledge on how best to structure and display this would be very much appreciated.

I get it now thank you, just layout my page how I want using flex blocks and change the filter to show pages rather than categories for now until I write more posts to display?

I wonder is there any way to install the demo… just so I can deconstruct the how the theme works rather than change it to suit my design??

I would prefer to start from scratch, and use the demo as an reference?

Hi Vlad,

I have a lot of permanent profile pages. I want for now, to also create one post for each page, so I can add them to a category and display them like home page ‘see your demo default newspaper pro’

But when the post is clicked, I want it to go the to the page its associated with?

I thought the only way to do this was to re-direct the url’s ?

This way I can design the home page as I want, displaying categories, then adding more posts to them, once I continue to write more in the future.

I wanted to know how long a post is displayed for ie. 1 month or 2 or 12 ??

I hope Ive explain the best I can. Its trying a work around really, because you can’t add a page to a category.

When I launch the site, initially there will be only pages, posts that are associated with that page will be written later.

Or is there a much simpler solution you can think of ?
