Yes, you can remove the revolution plugin is you don’t use it.

default images will be available soon. Other things we have it on todo list for the following updates.

You can simple add other icons in menu adding <img src="your image" /> on the buton

If not work, please swich to default permalink and see if work.
What else you can do is to disable some plugins, re-save the permalinks and see if works.

That ad is in sidebar, go to Apperance -> Widgets and remove [tagDiv] Ad box widget from Newspaper default sidebar.

What you see there in Theme customizer is the ad from top header.

The background of the big slide is full in full width theme version, this mean to not use the boxed version(don’t use a background or color as background in Theme customizer)

The theme is on 3 columns to, 2 columns for content and 1 for the sidebar. Your content width is at 570px and on our theme is at 700px.

The content should look fine on 700px.
