this was not the question. As I wrote in my post, the Customizer breaks once I deactivate the theme. Hence, I am trying to find out if your theme stores any values somewhere that could cause this behaviour.

I am not sure if I understand correctly but to solve issue 2 I just installed the latest update. Now the header is displayed correctly.

For issue 1 please refer to my previous posts. From what I have figured out so far the wrong image size only appears in Firefox and on high resolution displays (1920×1080 px). It looks fine on any resolution below that. For this I still don’t have a solution…

Thanks for testing. It seems to be an issue with my computer then. I tried both Ctrl+R and Ctrl+F5 but still the problem persists. I am happy to hear though that on other computers it looks fine!

I just had another idea and have done some testing. I think it has to do with screen resolution. My laptop’s standard screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 with text/app size, etc. on 125 % when I have this issue. I have now switched to 1366 x 768 and text/app size on 100 % and the issue is gone. Hence, there seems to be trouble with high screen resolutions but again only in Firefox. It looks fine in all other browsers.

I have thus now tried and activated all available image sizes in the theme panel – also the ones actually not required by my setup – including retina version. I have then regenerated all thumbnails and cleared all caches. Still, in Firefox, the grey bar remains for the high resolution.

Would you have any idea how to solve this? Otherwise I’ll probably have to give up on it as I am out of ideas now.

1) Unfortunately it doesn’t. I still get the same problem, still in Firefox only and only on some computers. On the laptop I am currently using I have Firefox 59.0.2 (64 bit) and the error persits. I don’t know what to do with it.

Thanks for the quick feedback!

1) Yes, I have cleared all my page’s caches as well as the browser’s ones. And I certainly have the right image formats as it works in all other browsers (I have tested Chrome, Opera, Edge and even Internet Explorer manages it). Only in Firefox I keep getting this issue, regardless of what I do or try.

2) That’s better than nothing. Still not ideal though as it removes the grey bar everywhere else on the site as well where I would want it to remain. Hence, it is actually similar to the “change the header style” solution. But at least the line doesn’t strike through the text any longer. Could I expect a non-makeshift solution for this in the long run or do I really need to consider a redesign of my entire page to get rid of this issue?

Thanks for your quick response and sorry for my delayed feedback:

1: As written in my initial post I have already recreated the thumbnails and it didn’t solve the issue. Furthermore, it only appears in Firefox. All other browser show the pictures properly. Would you have any further ideas?

2: So you are saying that this header style is meant to look that ugly? To change the header style is not an option for me as apart from that flaw I like the layout of my page as is. Hence, I will have to live with that.

I have the same problem. In addition I get a fatal error displayed below.

I would also be interested in the solution as I have the exact same problem.

I cannot seem to find a way to edit the font size of the “Text with title” element.
