It’s definitely that plugin’s fault. If I just remove the ads from appearing in the posts with that category and tag, they show up correctly. However, I still need a way to show those ads. Since I’m still using that plugin to show a bunch of other ads that are not being affected with this issue, I would rather not have to install another plugin to do this. So how can I do this through the child theme files? All I need is to show an image after the text of articles that have that category or tag. What files would I have to modify to achieve this?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, I think I figured out the cause. This issue only shows up when one specific category and/or one specific tag is selected. I’m using the Advanced Ads plugin to show ads on posts that contain that tag/category so I’m fairly sure there’s a connection there. What’s weird is that this was never an issue with the other template we were using and the settings were exactly the same.. any ideas on how to fix it?

Ok I was testing around and it seems that in new articles, those code pieces only seem to show up when certain categories are selected. With some categories the articles show up correctly while with others it still shows up all messed up. Any idea why this is happening?

We were using another theme that used the same visual composer as the one on Newspaper but as far as I know were weren’t using any shortcodes on articles. One of the editors on the site said he tried to make a new post today (after changing to your theme) and the same stuff showed up. I just noticed the visual composer plugin is out of date though. Maybe updating it will fix it?
