I tried every Permalink setting, and I’ve checked both the htaccess and wp-config files. I also deactivated every plugin – the issue still persists. I can’t see anything amiss in either the htaccess or wp-config file, but I might be missing something. Can I send you the contents of both files securely so you can check for yourself?

I’m not sure why it was made this way, other than I think the dev prior to me on this project was inexperienced. I just wanted to be sure it wasn’t accessing some functionality of a theme I hadn’t seen before.

As it is now, it’s parent page > child page > post, thus breaking the continuity of the post-type which renders null the structure necessary for breadcrumbs to work, correct?

Hello. I had to leave this issue for awhile. Could it be because the page at

http://ctt.staging.wpengine.com/instructional-climbing-videos/gym-top-rope-climbing/gear-considerations/

is a post, whereas the pages higher up in the category are actually pages, rather than category archives?
