The approach that i had in mind with above question doesnt solve my problem. To add to the hierarchy, I also had one section which had posts tagged as “November”,”December” and so on on the same category page. I thought it will display all the posts for november if I click on the November subcategory but it doesnt work it that way. It shows same category posts on all the three category page levels “Issues”,”2020″,”December”.

Is there any way out with which i can achieve below.
1.Home will have magazine menu.
2.It will open a page with recent magazine cover in first section. Its articles with excerpt and image in second section.Third section will have old magazine covers in medium size in 3 column
3.When any of the magazine cover is clicked ,recent or old ones, it will take us to the page where the page is dedicated to that particular magazine .It will have first section with big post for the cover page article.Second section will have all the posts following in that magazine with excerpt and images with read more button.If we click on the read more it will take us to the single post page.

Is this doable?

Hey! I figured out.
I wrote code in my custom page template and managed to achieve as expected! Now 3 columns and one sidebar is displayed correctly.I’ll manage for all devices now.

1.I have tried your approach but I may have 50+ categories.I would like to have those images as and when new category is added.

2.This only adds 4 equal size images in single row.Then we need to add another row for 5th image but 5th image is displayed large size.

How can we have all 50 + images one after another may be date wise in ascending order with 3 or more images in each line ?
