Changes to the parent theme are not recommended so I don’t change any code from the original source. Any update and it gets destroyed 😉

I changed the category.php file in the child theme and added the_archive_description(); So it gets printed.

But this way I can’t use the newspaper styles, that can be changed in theme panel. Maybe you find a way the category pages could be filled with content – that would be a huge bennefit for all SEOs and a great point on your featurelist 😉

But the other question is still open: Can I create a new/custom template like: td_category_template_custom.php

/Newspaper-child/category_templates/td_category_template_9 (instead of 9 maybe “custom” –> td_category_template_custom)?

Can I copy the “category_templates” folder into my child theme? Otherwise I will lose my settings after an update – is this correct?
