I have uninstalled the theme from the test zone and installed it in my main domain https://farbound.net. But the result is the same. I am able to get the theme registered by continuously pressing the button but the validation error persists. When I click updates the uptodate panel appears for a brief while but it is replaced with the validation error.
I could not upload version 12.7 from the theme panel because the same error was there in version 12.6.9. So had to upload the theme and plugins via cpanel. On trying to install plugins from the themepanel, I am presented with a download forbidden message.
Since I have had issues with your Cloud flare settings in the past. I was wondering, if my IP address or domain is blocked from your end?
Newspaper Theme has been on my domain (https://farbound.net) since 2014.
12.6.8 was a stable version. It worked fine for my site. Unfortunately I deleted it from my system when the new version (12.6.9) was released. Is there a way I can get it back? I can upload it from my Cpanel.
Further more, and let me add
The problem did not begin immediately after I updated from the previous version. I came across the critical error alert two days back when I logged in. The site works but at the back end I encounter the alert and have to refresh the page to continue working.
Twice I reentered my Envato purchase code to reactivate the theme. The theme panel showed the theme as registered but updates did not work. Third attempt I got this
Envato API is down, please try again later. So now I cant even register the theme.
The WordPress alert indicates it has something to do with the tagdiv-wp-booster-functions
Hi!
Regrettably, that didn’t solve the issue of blurry images. However, thank you so much for your valuable time. I really don’t want to keep you occupied with this. Perhaps its a plugin conflict, the editor itself or some other issue that may later rectify itself or with a WordPress update. So will use full-width as the images appear as of now.
Thank you again!
Hi
I tried what you suggested. And with WP Smush disabled. But the front display remains blurred. For single images (Full Width) as well as for Gallery. To be certain it was not an issue with Photo resolution, I tested this image before deleting it. This is from the website: https://weblines.com.au/gutenberg-blocks-wide-alignment-full-width/. On this site, the image is clear but on my site its blurred. Sharing this, in case it provides a clue.
Hi
Ok. I download Jing.

This is the back end editor. The photo appears clear.

This is the front end display. Its blurry.

Clicking on the image. Brings up the photo. Which is again clear.
Well I don’t know what Jing is and I can’t upload to any other website other than Farbound.Net. Which I own. So this is an image from a published page which you should be able to see from the the front end by clicking on the link.

Hello there,
My hosting does not support Cloudflare but I did purge the files anyway and installed the latest version of the theme in a sub domain with only theme related plugins. Still the same error: Received a response code != 200 while trying to contact the templates API server.
I suppose this must be a hosting or server related issue in this case. No plugin conflicts.
Thank you
Hello there,
There wasn’t really any changes prior to the issue. No new plugin was installed. Or code altered. I was simply in the process of uploading templates and testing them on my site. Everything worked well, till the mentioned time. As I am the only admin, I would have been aware of any changes.
This is what the Google console (backend) states:
&&tdLog.kill(“Missing wpNonce”);void 0===g.cloudEndPoint&&tdLog.kill(“Missing endpoint”);void 0===g.error&&(g.error=function(k){console.log(“%cAPI ERROR”,”background: #ffaa00; color: #ffffff; padding:3px 6px”,k)});return jQuery.ajax({timeout:5E4,type:”POST”,url:tdbApi._getRestEndPoint(g.cloudEndPoint,”uuid=”+tdbApi._getUniqueID()),beforeSend:function(k){k.setRequestHeader(“X-WP-Nonce”,
g.wpNonce)},cache:!1,data:g.post,dataType:”json”,statusCode:{404:function(){console.log(“ERROR: 404 not found”)},500:function(){console.log(“ERROR: 500 server error”)}},success:function(k,m,t){console.group(“API: “+g.cloudEndPoint);
I checked my cpanel also. All ports are open. Perhaps this issue is because of my hosting or the server.
My question is if I reinstall the theme and cloud template plugin. Will it solve the issue? Importantly, what will happen to the templates I have downloaded and am using, presently. Will they remain or will I again to apply them.
Thank you!
P.S – Yes I saved the permalinks, but that didn’t help

Hi,
I figured out the problem. This was the W3 Total Cache plugin. I was using this plugin till a while back. The plugin worked fine till the 8.8.1 update. After uninstallation of W3T, the elements appear as they should. Of course, there was the other issue of the W3T page cache not working. Some error in writing to the .htacees file. But that’s not theme related.
I am currently using WP Super Cache and the Speed Booster (without function file.php modifications) in place of W3T. Besides customization taking a while to appear on slow browsers, everything else seems to be working fine.
I plan to reinstall woo commerce and the theme’s mobile plugin – as my mobile speed is pretty dismal at the moment. Woo Commerce in the past reduced my website, forcing me to replace it with lighter plugins.
But this time, if I use
WP super Cache + Speed Booster + Mobile Theme (and woo commerce)
with the latest Newspaper update (8.8.1)
what kind of compatibility issues should I be expecting?
Also can either cloud flare’s minification setting or cpanel native minification settings be used alongside WP super Cache, Speed Booster, Mobile Theme.
Thank you.
Hello,
Never mind about the header ad background color. It seems to working again. Looks like the issue resolved itself.
Thank you!
Hey Bogdan,
Appreciate the advice very much. As for the 4th point: The ‘above the footer’ ad placement with background color I mentioned was about placing the same directly in the theme template files. The color is visible when I use the visual composer rows when creating the posts by just adding the rows the normal way. But when I placed the same – following the instructions on ‘custom ad placements’ in template files, the ad was visible, the background color wasn’t. So was inquiring if I needed to add something else other than what is mentioned in the instructions.
HOW TO INSERT ADS IN CUSTOM AREAS ON WEBSITE
What I tried was this: A stretched visual composer row with background color.
Thank you.
