LE: Yep, from home the problem is also visible in Google Chrome. I’ll be back on monday with a resolution of the device from work. π
What resolution does your device have?
From home I have a not-so-popular 1980×1200 display, and from work 1280×900 (I think, it’s a laptop, I’ll revise it if necessary on Monday).
So the resolution / ratio is a little different from the resolution of the wallpaper (1980*1080 / 16:9)… so maybe that’s to blame?
Cache cannot be the issue here, I use Ccleaner more often than some people refresh their desktop screen π
Thanks again π
Hello!
1. Nope, it’s still an issue, it’s most visible in Internet Explorer (11 under windows 7), half size in Firefox, and almost gone in Google Chrome.
That screenshot I’ve made is from IE11.
2. Then I’ll wait for you to fix this in an update of the theme. I cannot give up using Google Analytics by Yoast.
Thanks π
Thank you. The solutions you provided work great. Two small problems remaining (one of which I haven’t described in full detail):
1. You can see that white bar here, it’s always at the bottom, and when the website it’s fully scrolled, as in the screenshot, it’s visible on the left and on the right of the footer (with the copyright).
2. How to enable the links behind the slider on the frontpage? https://horoscopia.ro/
It’s based on the featured articles, however there isn’t any setting for this in the custom builder. I just want that when someone clicks on a featured article from that slider, the visitor to be sent to the article in question / clicked.
Thanks again π
Thanks again. It kinda works, but only on posts pages, not also on categories pages / homepage – look here… https://horoscopia.ro/horoscop-berbec-tendinte-generale-2014/
However, the desired result was to show the categories expanded when the post was from that category. For example the post above was is from Horoscop 2014, that has 12 subcategories. Your code only shows the main categories everywhere, although the subcategories IDs were mentioned in the code.
Not to mention that although it wasn’t mentioned with its ID, the ”Featured” category is shown by default, which is also an undesireded result.
At the end of the day I’m going to revert all the changes to the files, and delete the categories widget. I hope you’ll consider implementing in a future update of the theme this funtionality by default in the theme. After all, your theme is targeted to heavy-content based sites, and the ability to show smartly the categories in the default wordpress categories widget is a must in my opinion.
Thank you for all the explanations, but I’m not very happy that after all these changes I ended up deleting that widget. Again, please strongly consider making this a default behaviour in your theme in a future update.
Also made that change and it still doesn’t work π
So I need to delete it right? The categories widget I mean…
Thanks for all the help though π
Decided to make it live, so here’s the link… https://horoscopia.ro/
Hope you’ll find the reason why it doesn’t work. Thanks π
Then everything is exactly as you’ve said. Unfortunately the website isn’t live yet, it has a ”coming soon” plugin that hides the content.
Do you want some admin credentials to take a look? Please leave an email adress. Thanks π
Ok, everything is default, the sidebar is default (”Newspaper Default”) and also the position of it is default everywhere (on the right, as in the demo, and ”default” for every category in the theme’s settings, under the ”CUSTOM SIDEBAR + POSITION” setting everything is default).
Thanks for the solution, but a little sad it doesn’t work, with everything on default and also with the ”My menu” name for it. Also updated the theme, and redone all the settings above, and it still doesn’t work.
Or maybe I haven’t entered correctly the .css values? It was supposed to enter it in the theme settings under Theme Panel / Misc / Custom css / Your custom css, right?
Thanks again π
Thank you very much for helping me, but it doesn’t work. I’ve done everything exactly as you mentioned above, I even named the categories widget ”My menu”.
Can I send you somehow some admin / Cpanel credentials so you can take a look? Please leave an email adress
Multumesc din nou π
Ok, how can I send you the admin credentials? Without making them public to other theme buyers?
I think it’s related somehow with this one… https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/issues-when-using-pages-with-categories-tags/
The content in those subcategories are form pages, and not posts. So please also answer there. Thanks π
I was lost in the theme panel so I couldn’t think the solution was so simple π
Thank you. It works. Topic closed π
Thank you! It works!
Topic closed π
Thanks for the info but I’d really like some input from the dev team π Maybe they come with a solution for this π
