Do you know if it’s possible to remove the Post Views icon / number count from the AMP version of a page specifically? Even after removing the .td-post-views section in the post.less file it still appears as normal for me.

EDIT – Aha found it in single.php. I commented out the line:
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_views();?>

I can confirm we have also seen this exact issue on multiple sites using the Newspaper Theme.

I had this first error, make sure you’re on 1.1 of the plugin. You may need to delete it then reinstall and it’ll be the updated version – the plugin updates screen won’t tell you that there’s an update available.

I believe this may be a bug? When I disable “SHOW POST VIEWS – Enable or disable the post views (on single post page)” the popular filter stops showing any posts.

I don’t want a visible post view count on the pages, but I do want to be able to filter by page views.

I was of the belief this would simply hide the counter on the post page but views would still be logged. Will I have to manually hide this field using custom css? I didn’t think hiding this would affect popular filtering.

As mentioned in the original post, this still isn’t working with caching disabled. It’s been 30+ hours now of the widget displaying blank information. I’ve disabled any caching plugins yesterday (despite it working fine with this for a few weeks now), and tried recreating the widget, but this still doesn’t work 24 hours later.

We too have had the same issue. Is there no workaround for this or potential other solutions? I’m not willing to lose the caching plugin as it’s a major blow to the site’s speed and search engine performance, but at the same time something as basic as a 7-day popular feed is essential for the site. Unfortunately 24hrs popular is largely useless.

Thanks Simion, that’s what was causing it!

When testing ad placements we tried having 2 blocks of latest news with an advert slotted inbetween the two. I’m assuming this can’t be done without causing issues like the above?

Thanks Simion. Any chance of this being added in the future? No problem amending it for now but would be good to not have to do it each time there’s an update.

I found the 1.1 Amp Plugin update fixed my errors with inline css styles.

Thanks Alin, updating to 1.1 of the AMP plugin solved whatever issue was causing it in 1.0.
