I send that info for the PHP file to the developer and this was their response:

“Hello Stephen,

Sorry but that doesn’t help much.

We need the final code to output the selected primary category of your posts.

Do they have an example of how that would be implemented on the front end of the website?”

Anamaria, I am having the same problem and need to find the source code in the code of the theme. Here is a video to describe why and give context.
