You, sir, are wrong.

I just reverted the theme to version 8.1.2 and the “Custom” option is there.

Could you confirm this is abandoned?
Do you have any advice on how to turn this back on?

Thank you for your support.

Before the update, we had the “Custom” option. It was helpful, and we used it to promote sponsored articles.

Are you saying that you won’t be bringing the “Custom” option back to Newspaper theme?

Hi Catalin,

Thank you for the quick response. We just double-checked all requirements, and we could confirm that we are using recommended setup for the Newspaper theme.

Now I will try to describe our problem again. Before updating the Newspaper theme, we had a “Custom” option under “Sort order” setting for Big Grid 2 block. That option allowed us to feature sponsored articles easily. After the update, we don’t see this option.

Is there any way we could get this option back without rolling back to the previous theme version. I am not sure we want to use an out-of-date theme.
