I’ve found that WP Super Cache severely slowed down the site. It took 3 minutes to save a post.

My web host made these changes for me and now the site is 50% faster.

No, I just temporarily deactivated the plugin because it looked so awful. I’m getting a lot of daily visitors (potential clients), over 100 today.

I installed WP User Avatar, and in Avatar settings chose.. “Disable Gravatar and use only local avatars.” (and cleared cache)

But site is still showing my image for another user.

– I’ve created one post in this category – ID=38

Neither of these will display in the main section of the top block on my website by following the instructions you provided.

I’ve been building WP sites for years, but it’s taking a lot of time to figure out how to use these newspaper theme and tools it uses.
