So I edit this line:
$buffy .= ‘‘ . get_the_author_meta(‘display_name’, $author_id) . ‘‘ ;

and replace for:
$buffy .= ‘‘ . get_the_author_meta(‘display_name’, $author_id) . ‘‘ ;

right?

Hi, Calin!

It works if you click the link when in the author’s page, but not in the author box in the end of the posts. Please check it out:

Hi, Simion! These are Adsense auto ads and it only happens on AMP.

It’s a strange behavior. As I mentioned, it happens only in the most recent posts, right after their publication, and it lasts for a couple of hours.

Here’s another screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bJ4n8MqilsXD-8aQdV77mKnDX4tD98TH/view?usp=sharing

Since we’re in different time zones and it takes some time for you to reply, I think it’s gonna be hard for you to observe this behavior. But I can give you admin credentials and you can simulate a publication an see it for yourself.

Thanks!

Here’s a screenshot on an Android device using Google Chrome: https://cangurunews.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Screenshot_20200908-103739_Chrome-scaled.jpg

It’s not actually a repetition. Adsense is showing two different ads where it’s supposed to show only one ad unit.

Ok! E-mail sent. Thanks!

Hi, Vlad! System requirements ok!

I’ve deactivated all third party plugins, including WP Super Cache, and the problem persists. I’d appreciate it if you could take a closer look, please.

Thanks!

Ok, thanks! I’ll use a third party plugin to set my ads.

I’ve enabled the transitional mode (Mobile + AMP) via mobile theme options to see if it’s got something to do with the decrease of valid indexed AMP posts in search console. Now I can access the AMP plugin options (it’s back in the WP panel menu) and the AMP options when editing the posts. But I appreciate any help on this issue.

Vlad, can you please remove the theme’s size options part of the header add code so it can inherit the responsive settings made on the AdSense original ad code? https://nimb.ws/OTMBJx

It looks like the sizing options in the theme are invalidating the original code css, set like this: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9183363?hl=pt-BR

I need to set my desktop header ad size to 1068px width (same as content)

Thanks!

Could this issue be related to the absense of ‘link rel=”amphtml”‘ on my posts?

turma99

Mobile version of some posts appears on desktop only when ‘Mobile + AMP’ is set under AMP options. The WP Super Cache plugin is set as the instructions in the link. Should I re-index the original urls or amp urls? Any advice on how to do that properly?

Also, do my posts have the ‘rel=”amphtml”‘ tag in them?

I see my amp indexed pages number lowering day after day and I can’t figure out what’s going on… https://nimb.ws/rvaUZb

Ok, thanks!

Also, I meant only 125 posts are indexed as AMP content, not pages, sorry. Please, read ‘posts’ wherever I wrote ‘pages’.

turma99

Ok, but for the AMP options to appear on the panel I must set AMP to ‘Mobile
+ AMP’ on theme panel options, right? If I do that, then some of my posts start to show the AMP version on desktop (noticed that on Chrome and Edge). Any idea why that’s happening?

Hi! Any advice on my last question (header adSense max width)? Thanks!

turma99
tagDiv Member

Ignore last question, please. I’ve already set a bg to the header. Is there a way to force the header ad to be the same with of the page (1068px)? Thanks!

Problem solved! A follow-up question: Is it possible to change header ad background on desktop view to a different color or pattern? This area: https://nimb.ws/4DTJao

Hi, Vlad! Could you please help us find out why AMP ads are not being displayed? Can you check if I put the AdSense codes in the right places? Thanks!

turma99

One more question: Adsense for AMP needs a script to be placed between <head></head> tags at the HTML of my AMP site. Where us this HTML file located, please?

turma99

I know add sizes follow a standard. Would it be the case to limit site width to 970px (the max size available in the adds options)?

Thanks!
