AMP content

Hi! I’ve noticed that only 125 pages in my site are indexed as AMP content by Google Search (we have more than 2.000 pages). When I run the amp test (https://search.google.com/test/amp) on new content like https://cangurunews.com.br/desenvolvimento-da-crianca/ it tells me that the page is not AMP compatible. Can you help me figure out what is missing in my settings? Is this problem related to the ‘rel=”amphtml”‘ tag in my pages?
We’re using the AMP + Mobile theme plugin set to show the AMP version of the page in mobile devices.

Thanks!

Please check if the amp option is enable for pages too -> https://i.imgur.com/Wq4TMlZ.png also please check the individual options on pages -> https://i.imgur.com/gkbhckh.png

Ok, but for the AMP options to appear on the panel I must set AMP to ‘Mobile
+ AMP’ on theme panel options, right? If I do that, then some of my posts start to show the AMP version on desktop (noticed that on Chrome and Edge). Any idea why that’s happening?

Also, I meant only 125 posts are indexed as AMP content, not pages, sorry. Please, read ‘posts’ wherever I wrote ‘pages’.

Hi,

You can use the amp option, that mean’s that the mobile template will apply only on amp version, this should solved the problem with the amp posts/pages, but you’ll need to re-index your pages/posts on google.
When the mobile version or amp is displaying on desktop is a cache problem, we recommend to use WP Super Cache plugin, this is a free plugin an tested with our theme, also we have a guide for the settings you should do -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ also if you are using other cache plugins please deactivate theme and make a test.

Thank you!

Mobile version of some posts appears on desktop only when ‘Mobile + AMP’ is set under AMP options. The WP Super Cache plugin is set as the instructions in the link. Should I re-index the original urls or amp urls? Any advice on how to do that properly?

Also, do my posts have the ‘rel=”amphtml”‘ tag in them?

I see my amp indexed pages number lowering day after day and I can’t figure out what’s going on… https://nimb.ws/rvaUZb

Could this issue be related to the absense of ‘link rel=”amphtml”‘ on my posts?

I’ve enabled the transitional mode (Mobile + AMP) via mobile theme options to see if it’s got something to do with the decrease of valid indexed AMP posts in search console. Now I can access the AMP plugin options (it’s back in the WP panel menu) and the AMP options when editing the posts. But I appreciate any help on this issue.

Hi,

Using mobile theme with amp the rel=”amphtml” is set in post and pages -> https://i.imgur.com/7WzbUqs.png
This can be a plugin conflict or something that is interfering and the plugins is not working normal. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!
Thank you
