AMI Sun screenshots

Here’s a link to screenshots that I took today of the issues. The pages were built with WP Bakery. Somehow, before I took over the website maintenance, tagDiv also has been activated and certain things can be edited with WP Bakery and some with tagDiv and neither allows for visual editing anymore. The one where the page appears blank is where if you highlight the box it will show short code in white but it’s locked against editing and it’s in visual editor which shouldn’t be happening. I’d be happy to create a username for you so you can view the issues first-hand.

Thank you for the information! Unfortunately, it appears that is the case with the website. Any idea of how to fix it once the damage is done without rebuilding pages?

Upgrading to PHP 8.0 worked to update the theme. Please update your requirement section if possible when you make a major release change; it still says 7.2. Thanks!

11.3 did not work immediately until reinstalling and activating the four plugins in our original message, above. Did you try that?

Thank you. We restarted all plugins activating in this order:

Ad Rotate
WP Super Cache
WP Bakery Visual Composer
TagDiv Composer
TagDiv Standard Pack

We notice a difference in server performance based on the order in which we activated them. Does this agree with what you have tested in your labs?

We rebuilt SuperCache, and flushed our firewall CDN. The site seems to be running fairly well but we’d still appreciate our taking a look. You may notice something quickly that is not obvious to us.

Thank you!

Hi Vlad, we sent this yesterday (June 10), please check your email. Also, we pruned tables in our advertising system, AdRotate. Today, we are waiting for your feedback to do any further edits on the site as we believe you can help us understand what’s happening here. Thank you so much!

Thanks for your reply. We didn’t move all the files to the child theme. Using the guidance
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ we attempted to select specific files. Unfortunately we just don’t understand some of what’s in the tutorial. Here are some specific questions.
1. In the root child theme, the example shown in the tutorial shows files being placed in this directory. It’s not clear to us what should go in this directory. Can you please be more specific?
2.We made changes to the header and footer within theme panel. We think we understand which files these header and footer changes impact, but there doesn’t seem to be any mapping between theme functions and the files that they change so that we can ensure that we chose the right ones. Can you please provide a document that explains which theme options write which files?
3. When you saw the directory structure we created in the child theme, did that look correct? We tried to follow the example in the tutorial.
Thank you so much!

Hi Calin,
Here are the screenshots:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/31os9mewgzq3apf/AABRwraI9wEWvo42YQybruqja?dl=0

The first shot shows the new child theme in the wp-content/themes directory (1062).

1063 shows what is in Newspaper-child directory. The TagDiv instruction is “Simply add the files in newspaper-child directly and the system will rewrite files from the above folder” for the files in the Newspaper theme root directory. Both the “includes” and “parts” directories are there.

1064 shows the three subdirectories in the “includes” directory contents.

1071 shows “category templates ” directory contents.

1066 shows “footer” directory contents.

1067 shows “header style” directory contents.

1068 is “category top posts styles” directory contents.

1069 is “shortcodes” directory contents.

1070 is the “parts” directory which includes “footer” and “header.”

We have a Tagdiv WordPress account; if you email me I will send you credentials.

Thank you!
