Hello Calin,
Now that I’ve switched the authors’ template to the general template rather than a cloud one, I would like to be able to edit the page, to remove the comment counters. How do I do this? There’s no green edit button as with other pages.
I figured it out. If anyone else is wondering, in theme panel, under block settings, there’s a section titled Meta Info on Modules/Blocks. The ‘Show Modified Date’ there had been turned on when I updated the theme.
Hello Bettina,
I have tried that and it seems to make the problem even worse. Could you explain a little more about why even bigger pictures would stop the text from stretching?
Thanks!
Hello Bettina,
As mentioned above, none of the Flex Blocks have the ‘show modified date’ selected
(and to clarify, I do not want the modified date to show, and yet it does for every date).

Are you referring to a different setting?
I’ve just realized the date that showing is in fact the last modified date (I updated all our tags today, so every post has been modified). This seems very odd. None of the flexblocks have the ‘show modified date’ option checked.
How do I get the homepage to only show the published date?
The same problem also appears, I note, in the Category template pages.

(I’ve tried disabling all plugins, but had no effect)
Here’s a screenshot of the overlap:

Actually, now I note that it’s doing it for all alignments. Pictures break the responsiveness. So that text overlaps the edge of the screen when in tablet or mobile view.
The Newspaper theme was innocent. It turned out to be our server’s firewall. Thanks!
That worked! Thank you!
Sorry for late response; I missed your reply.
I think I did not explain the problem properly. The problem arises when posting a full link as text in the post itself. As an academic site, we do this quite a bit in our bibliographies.
Doing this breaks the width of the post.

Please ignore! It was in fact one of the extensions, which I thought I had deactivated.
