Okay. I’m sorry to trouble you with my incompetence. Perhaps there is a conflict with WP Fastest Cache.

It updated a few hours after I made the changes, and I don’t know why, and things are working properly again.

Next time I encounter this issue, I will post in this forum with a link.

To further clarify the issue:

I made a test post to see what would happen on mobile. The theme updated properly. However, once I deleted the test post, the test still appeared on mobile (and leads to a 404).

So now I have the correct layout on mobile, but it shows a test post that leads to a 404 as the first post on the page.

So it appears I can only update the layout of the front page on mobile IF and ONLY IF I have the content to make a new post.

I’m sorry but that isn’t what I expect from a premium product, so there must be some way to fix this without using the mobile theme plugin, yes?

I don’t want to use the mobile theme plugin if possible because I have some unique elements on the front page that I would like to be display on mobile.

Oh, and a lot of my images are also simply not loading at all on the mobile version, which is another thing that cannot go unfixed.

I’m still having major problems with this.

My front page will not update on mobile. I have checked on multiple devices. It sometimes updates, and sometimes will not.

Are you saying that implementing the mobile theme plugin will somehow fix this problem of the front page not updating to reflect the changes I made in the tagdiv composer?

All I want is for the mobile version to reflect the changes I make on the front page tagdiv composer.

I consider this to be a serious problem with the theme.

Sorry for the confusion, but where can I set a new or old post to use the new custom post template from the cloud template that I made? All I see in the post section and theme panel are the preset templates.

I want it to appear for most posts.

But I would like to disable it for one particular category of posts. I assume that would be the easiest way to modify it. (This category of posts has a lot of technical info and so I don’t want to annoy the reader with the box, but on normal categories I would like to)

I was also wondering if such modifications are possible with other global settings, such as the “Related Articles” box on the bottom of the post page (which is likewise only enabled/disabled on a global, rather than per category or per post basis).

I managed to fix the issue. Below is the solution, just in case anybody else comes across this problem in the future.

It was a problem with the plugin, nothing to do with the theme. Their “lazy load” function was the source of the problem, and they put a developer on fixing the issue. Turning off lazy load made everything work fine again.

For my other needs, the Newspaper theme’s simpler gallery is able to fulfill a lot of functions.
