I see a number of people have had this issue with version 6.7 without any resolution.

How can I disable wp booster, surely there must be a way to resolve this issue.

Hi,
You cannot disable wp booster. People get this error when the update is not done properly or they have custom modifications made.
Please make a clean install of the new version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Please restore all modifications you made to the theme, and switch to the main theme if you use a child theme.
You can also set your search template from the theme paenl. Simply change the settings here and hit the save button: http://screencast.com/t/hH65D9slczNW

I get this error only on the Crypto News theme,

That issue would happen if you install a demo which uses multi-purpose elements, and the required plugin is not active. That demo uses multi-purpose header style 3, and that error will appear if the plugin is not active
