Loss after update

Hello.

I updated the theme using your recommendations: deleted the theme and uploaded through wordpress.

Everything looks fine, except for the social plugin. In theme settings, the social links were missing, and the widget is appearing with errors. I added the links again, still broken.

I am worried that I may have lost other settings…

Be sure to also update all the plugins that come with the theme at same time. 🙂

Also be sure to ‘export’ your settings from Theme, and also do tools > export before you update anything in WP in future as part of normal back-up process.

thanks Chris. It worked.

I have purchased the composer plugin previously. Do I have to change/update it?

I saw that there is a speed booster plugin. I don’t recall seeing it in my initial install. What does it do?

Hi,

I recommend to use the Visual Composer version provided and tested with the theme. Newspaper 7.3 package contains and it was tested with Visual Composer 4.12 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Speed Booster is an optional plugin and it can be used to move the css and js resources to the footer, you can check the pagespeed optimization guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
