I am thinking of using Speed Booster Plugin on my wordpress site using newspaper theme. I just read following:
“The plugin (Speed Booster) will move the js and css of the recommended plugins at the page bottom. If another (unknown) plugin is installed it will automatically disable itself, this behavior was added to avoid a potential plugin conflict.”
My questions:
(i) Is the function of this plugin is only to move the js and css of the recommended plugins at the page bottom.
If that is so I am using only two recommended plugins, “tagDV composer” and “Yoast SEP Premium”. So Speed Booster plugin won’t help me much.
(ii) Also, if another (unknown) plugin is installed Speed Booster will automatically disable itself, this behavior was added to avoid a potential plugin conflict.
If that is so, I am using two plugins which are not in the recommended list – “AdSense Integration WP QUADS” and “WP Smush”
Here also if the Speed Booster is going to be disabled, so there is no point in using it.
Can some body please advise me on the above?
Thanks…
Hello,
Yes, speedbooster will deactivate itself when an untested plugin is detected. It will move the css and js to the footer for the plugins that it can. It will not be able to move the css and js for ALL plugins even if the detect function is disabled. Please read this guide on how to implement it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and read this topic regarding the detect function in the plugin code: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Thank you!
I keep having the same issue with no help other than whats mentioned above, to no avail. Can you please ck my site out at http://www.cannabiskollective.com?? Please get back with a viable solution 🙁
Hi,
@jermyn7 As mentioned the speed booster plugin has a predefined internal list of plugins, if it detects other plugins installed it will deactivate. This is implemented because it could cause issues with various plugins.
This check could be disabled by editing the plugin, a solution is mentioned in the provided topic. Note that some plugins may not function well after doing this.
If you want to improve website speed there are multiple topics here on the forum containing advice and guides with good results. Some of them here
