HTTP Error 500 whenever I update Newspaper theme

I have tried to update my theme in WordPress twice and lost my blog twice thereafter. The only way to recover it was to have a full restore from my host provider. Is there a recommended non-techie way to do so without incurring any problems?

Hi,

The theme can be updated like other themes, nothing special about it. Updating the theme is not difficult to do, certainly it should not cause such major issues with the website.

The most recommended, popular and reliable method in general is by FTP. If you follow the steps as they are mentioned then there would be no problems

Insufficient resources can cause problems with the theme or theme plugins. Low WP-memory can cause 500 errors for example.
