Since updating to 10.1 yesterday our media library is not working properly. Sometimes it just loads indefinitely and if we refresh it may load after 30 seconds or so. Then the images will sometimes not insert into either post or the featured image. It’s random.
I’ve disabled all non-essential plugins and had only the tag.div plugins running. I’ve been in touch with WP engine, our host and they suggested the problem is with the theme.
They also found this error.
2 PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /nas/content/live/thebusinessmag/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/index.php:1\nStack trace:\n#0 {main}\n thrown in /nas/content/live/thebusinessmag/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/index.php on line 1
Any idea? I really don’t want to roll back to the previous version as we would lose an entire day of news posts.
Disregard that, back to 10.1 as reverting to 9.8 didn’t change anything with the media library. Going back to WP Engine.
However, that php error still remains.
Looks like it was an issue with the host after all.
Please, can you help with that fatal error?

For Yoast: In the new update there have been inserted new blocks in gutenberg and due to those improvements you have to refresh your post because now Yoast doesn’t work in real time. So you can do this by updating and saving your posts.
The page editor has been fixed in the Newspaper 10.1
The best way to update the Newspaper Theme is to delete the current Newspaper Theme version and TagDiv Plugins and after that you can install the new version.

Overwriting files will cause conflicts.
