Hi,
I’m a fan of the mobile theme layout, but whenever I activate it, it also changes the look of my homepage on desktop to the mobile layout. For some reason, it is only affecting my homepage.
I have the AMP and mobile theme activated, and “mobile theme” toggled on my home page. I’m not sure why the mobile theme is affecting how it looks on the desktop. Thanks!
Hi, just giving an update. I cleared my cache, and the opposite problem occurred. My desktop looks as I want it to, but my mobile homepage now doesn’t have the format of the Mobile Theme (3 articles grid style). Is there a way to have it so my desktop stays the same and mobile has the mobile-specific layout? Everything is only affecting my homepage for some reason (other pages look ok on both desktop and mobile). Thanks!
Hi, I know this isn’t during support hours, but just wanted to provide updates on the things I’ve tried, to reduce back and forth for when you do see this. I deactivated and reactivated all my plugins and am still coming across this problem. I thought the mobile theme would only affect the mobile version of the website. Happy to give you the credentials to log in if you need to take a look.
Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme.
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:
Please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Mobile theme plugin can be disabled from Newspaper Plugins as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LnkZCEVC
Thank you !
Hello !
Mobile theme on a desktop usually happens when you are experiencing a caching issue. Please make sure to clear your cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thank you !
