I am using the weather widget on my site which I like but getting the error:
Weather API error: Invalid API key. Please see http://openweathermap.org/faq#error401 for more info.

I have checked everything like extra spaces and followed the documentation. I contacted openweathermap and they said there is no problem with my API and the problem is in the App.
I just updated the theme yesterday and still getting the error.

Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully

and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Unfortunately, still not working.
I am using the tagDiv Weather widget. The documentation you linked to, looks different. I put the API key in the widget. I can’t see where to put it in the theme options like shown in the documentation.

Thanks. I somehow missed that.
I noticed that my API key had table HTML attached to it. I could not see this in the Newspaper OWM API key field. But I happened to paste my copied API key into a WordPress note plugin with an editor, and saw it there. Once I removed the HTML and copied ONLY the API key, it worked immediately in the Newspaper weather widget.
Hi JoAnn, I do not quite understanding, the api key for Newspaper weather widget is not working for you ? If this is the problem, please provide me some more details and a link where I can inspect this problems.
