Even if I put the Hex code inside nothing happens no matter the browser I use ( tested on Brave, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari). My OS is macOS BigSur.
Still, another styling like to change border doesn’t work.

This problem appears when you use the last WordPress 5.6 version with an old theme version.
My suggestion is to make sure that you are using the last theme version Newspaper 10.3.9.1 and check to see if the problem persists.

Another solution (for the moment) is to try a jQuery like, Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and try this option => https://www.screencast.com/t/WYlKJVLi. Clear all the caches (also the browser cache).

You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict.
Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
We don’t know what can cause the problem, in order to help you, we need to log in as admin user(you can change the password after).

well, things sound a bit more complicated. Deactivate Really SSl plugin and installed two different SSL plugins, but the problem persists.
Then even if I have all the plugins deactivate so that the styling is possible, still unable to delete the empty space row.
You’d better have a look and I’m going to send you my login credentials.
How long does it take? considering your days off, because I’m not comfortable having my 2 FA login off for long.
