Hello!
Connecting an Instagram business account (page) will also connect to the corresponding Facebook account (page) automatically. This is due to Instagram Business page requiring having a Facebook Page connected to it. Re-check all the steps here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/instagram-widget/
Hope that helps you!
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
Thanks for this.
I had previously done this (and have again today) and when I go to the ‘Social Networks’ tab in the theme panel, it indicates that neither Facebook or Instagram are connected.
If I click on the ‘Connect Facebook’ button I get a message saying that
You’ve previously linked tagDiv WordPress Theme App Dev to Facebook
Would you like to continue with your previous settings?
When I say yes, it displays my connections in the Theme panel – so I select ‘Save Settings’.
I then go to the ‘Footer’ tab, select ‘Instagram settings’, complete all of the details and again ‘Save settings’, I then clear cache and look at my home page and the same error is there.
If I also refresh the browser view of my Theme Panel and look at Social Networks my connections are gone and it is telling me to ‘Connect FB Account’ and ‘Connect Business Account’ for Insta.
It’s like the DB isn’t updating??? Any clues?
Ok, something else really weird; in the Theme Panel, on the ‘Footer’ tab, in ‘Instagram settings’, if I switch off ‘SHOW THE FOOTER INSTAGRAM SECTION’ and ‘Save settings’, the error for Instagram still appears each page in the footer.
And if I refresh the browser page for the Theme Panel, ‘SHOW THE FOOTER INSTAGRAM SECTION’ is switched back on.
Could this be a corruption in my DB??
Hi Bill Dunk,
I think that you have an object cache file store on your server and that it is way the settings are no longer coming from database and will come from that object cache.
We have a guide from how to check the Object Cache if is apply on Backend -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Let us know the results!
Thank you!
Thanks for this. I’ve looked at the instructions, our host is Hostgator and the don’t have Object Caching. Also, when I deactivate all plugins, there is no file created called object-cache.php
I’m in extra deep trouble now as I decided I would try to export the settings, ‘Reset’ the Theme Settings and reimport. All settings have been deleted, but now it won’t let me resave any of the settings I want to add back in!
Apologies for the incorrect access details sent yesterday. I’ve sent an email to contact@tagdiv.com with the correct access details.
