I tried and it’s still the same problem:

Once I log in, the logo goes back to normal.
I decided to change the header and that basically fixed things except on scroll on mobile:
Hello @bezukhof!
I can see that you use a very old theme version, so I gladly recommend you to make a full backup and update the theme and plugins. That one is a sticky mobile menu. You can disable/enable sticky mobile menu and main menu when you access Website Manager, like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/EdpjIpsBHunx
Thank you!
I don’t have an Updates tab like you do in the picture:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOu44NKK
I like the sticky menu…just want to be able to change what’s on the sticky menu as it scrolls up. Usually within tagdiv I can trigger the sticky menu and then modify its contents.
Hi,
The option mentioned by Bettina appears only in the latest updates, and you are using an old theme version.
I think that you can assign the header to homepage, then edit the homepage and set on the mobile view port and scroll down, then the sticky header should be displayed (when you edit only the cloud header, in old versions, the sticky option is not displayed because there is no content under the header).
I hope this will help you!
Hi,
From your screenshot you have Newspaper v9.8 https://i.imgur.com/CQScWJO.png and the current version is 11.4.3 (today was made a theme update).
The sticky option from your video it is only on columns for sidebars.
I recommend to make a full backup for your website and update the theme.
Thank you!
1. There’s no option to update the theme within WP. What is the recommended way to update it? Still confused why I don’t have an option to just update it from within WP.
2. Another logo issue:
Hi Bezukhof,
There is no way that the automatic update to be displayed for you, because this option was added only in 10.3.1 and it can be used from versions like 10.3.2 -> https://i.imgur.com/T2kO8Cw.png and you are using Newspaper v9.8, did you get it?
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
What you need to do is to update the theme manually using FTP, cPanel or file manager (method B from our guide).
2. The problem with logo, it is that that you set an url to the image element that have set-> https://i.imgur.com/rH9Qdky.png please check the logo url and remove it -> https://i.imgur.com/A7Ov4AB.png
Also, you have anchor ads that are overlapping the sticky header -> https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7478225?hl=en
Thank you!
1. Can I just temporarily deactivate the outdated theme and just upload the new one directly into WP? I get nervous messing around with File Manager too much and I don’t do the FTP thing.
2. OK. I had a lot of issues with the logo, which is why I resorted to configuring it like that…I suppose I’ll try to get the theme updated and see if that helps fix things.
Hi,
1. It is not recommended to keep more theme versions, but you can do that (but in case that you have sidebars made with widgets, those will be move in inactive widgets if you use the WP install method).
2. Normally, the update should not changed any settings that were made in the previous version. Did you checked the url from the logo?
Hi,
1. Yes it should work, but please do not delete the old version until you do not check the website and everything is wok.
2. The theme settings are kept in the database, so there will be no problems, just make sure that all theme plugins that you use are updated (it is possible to need to install tagDiv Standard pack plugin).
Thank you!
Finally got around to this again- so if I click replace current with uploaded:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQulR42Q
Just wondering if this is ‘safe’?
Am I losing all of the customization? The cloud templates and styles, etc. Any other issues that I might not be aware of?
Hi,
Considering that there is a big difference between the versions, I recommend you have a full backup of all files and databases.
Also, if you want to update the theme I recommend that you update the theme on a staging website and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the look of the website.
Also, if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise.
Unfortunately, there are also situations where the update does not work properly (due to certain extra plugins that are active, certain restrictions, and server settings), so, please deactivated all extra plugins (if you have WordFence, you need to use the WordFence Assistant to remove it).
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Thank you!
I finally did that update and things seemed to transfer correctly…
I would love to fix this scroll up header logo issue. It occurs on all devices, not just mobile.
I still can’t trigger that scroll up in the TagDiv Header editor so that I can fix the logo.
What should I do?
Hello,
I verified your and now the logo seems to look fine -> https://i.imgur.com/WkW0OVo.png
Thank you!
It’s the issue I’ve been describing from the beginning- when I scroll up, it defaults to LifeNews and there’s no way to edit that.
