Hello.
Whenever I try to edit a page in the wordpress editor (for Yoast SEO for example) it is extremely slow, and almost crasches. This was not a problem earlier, but has now become a very urgent problem. The page does not even updates some times. Its the same problem for all pages.
If I for example leave the tab while its loading, and then go back to it – the editor is just a big white screen.
Something is wrong, but i dont know what?

Hello!
Update WordPress, PHP, the theme, and plugins to the latest version.
Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!
I have the same problem.
Editing posts in Gutenberg is fine, editing pages in Composer is also fine. But when I try to edit a page in Gutenberg (changing URL, updating feature image, etc.) it’s just so slow and often crashes my browser.
It definitely didn’t happen before, I had no issue whatsoever editing my last page at the end of September 2023.
Please, can you fix this?
You might look at one of the Yoast optimizer addon plugins which “kills” a bunch of the not-used Yoast features, turns off nags when changing or removing a poat, etc.
We did this with our own custom plugin, because Yoast has become way too intrusive and sometimes actually hurts SEO when they have bugs, vs helping.Rather than actually making solid usable version, each update adds something new, fixes old bugs, then often introduces NEW bugs. Idiots.
Hi mita, did you tried Yoast SEO v21.5 or v21.6? Those versions sold be secure – https://wpscan.com/plugin/wordpress-seo/
Also, what you can tri is to install the classic editor plugin, usually this problem appears in Gutenberg editor.
Thank you!
I did. The ajax error persisted anyway. There’s a conflict with tagdiv composer as you well know. Yoast released yesterday a new update. Does it make any difference?
Can you please get an update from the team working to overcame this issue? When will you release a fix? We were forced to disable Yoast so we could keep everything up to date but being a news site that has a huge impact. We need to a solution so we can reactivate yoast. thx
Hello,
I just tested the latest Yoast version and the problem persist, but the good news are that one of our developers marked the bug related to Yoast as done.
Currently we are working to the theme update (RC), once that we complete the tests on package we’ll make the update.
As a temporary solution you can use a prev version on Yoast seo plugin v21.5 or 21.6 or you can use the last Yoast version with the classis editor plugin (from the developer report I see that the problem appears on Gutenberg only).
Thank you!
