Hello!

I recommend using cloud templates. You can build a sidebar with the TagDiv Composer. Steps:
1. Insert one new row (or delete an existing one).
2. Divide into two columns (2/3 + 1/3).
3. You can add whatever element you want from the tagdiv Composer to the second column and consider it a sidebar
If you have an extra shortcode or a code you can use the elemnts called column text or raw html.
A shortcode can be inserted also by using the element called “Column text” or “Text with title”. “Column text” and “text with title” elements have a button called “edit content” and if you click on that button, the WP Editor will open, and you can add some text/code/shortcode there. Close the WP Editor from X, save the changes from Composer and view the page to see the changes.

For the question 2, some blocks can be made with the custom modules: https://forum.tagdiv.com/modules-builder-newspaper-theme/ but the complex ones, you need some extra custom code. Or if you have the blocks already made with an extra plugin, then you can add it there as I explained above. Please take care of a plugin conflict.
