Recently, I started seeing ads for the newspaper theme on my website. I’ve paid for the theme and it shows me as being registered. Today, when I tried to share a post on social media, instead of showing the featured image, it showed an ad for the newspaper theme. How do I get this fixed?

Could you please provide a screenshot of the ad you’re referring to?
Typically, the theme displays banners only when a pre-built website with demo content has been installed. In that case, pages, articles, categories, banners and templates are included by default.
Please also check the Theme Panel to see if any global banners have been added in the ads section https://i.imgur.com/SGHrog2.png, and check the pages and Cloud Templates in tagDiv Composer to verify whether an Ad Box element has been added.
