When a user registers with the built in pop-up the email they receive contains their username and no password. It just sends them to the back-end login page.
The email: Username: jkellerer@xxxx.com To set your password, visit the following address: https://ljsbeta.learnjazzstandards.com/ljslogin
So the only way I can figure out how a user can get their password after registering, is to do a forgot password, which does not seem like a good method.
Hello,
Please make sure you use the latest version of the theme as this issue was fixed. Also if you use any login plugins, then this issue could occur. You can follow this guide to update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you!
Hi Bogdan,
I am running the most recent update: 6.6.5.
Please feel free to test on ljsbeta.learnjazzstandards.com,
but this is the message new users get:
Username: jkellerer@xxxx.org To set your password, visit the following address: https://ljsbeta.learnjazzstandards.com/ljslogin
I have no login plugins. I do have a security plugin that changes the login page to ljslogin for security purposes. (iThemes Security)
Disabled that plugin and still got the same user email:
Username: jkellerer@xxx.edu To set your password, visit the following address: https://ljsbeta.learnjazzstandards.com/wp-login.php
When I create a user on the backend, it sends the same message.
Username: jkellerer@xxx.edu To set your password, visit the following address: https://ljsbeta.learnjazzstandards.com/wp-login.php
