I was looking forward to change the background color of each article, and add a shadow to it, just like a card. Here is exactly what I want.

i tried to use the booster plugin to defer load my js and css files – dont work. Not one file are moving from his place. I defined a custom wp-content directory as always in the config.php and im using a child theme. i also changed the name of the theme. Everthing works fine – but the plugin dont work. I followed the instruction of the booster plugin manual – no conflict with other plugin – i used it alone….

Then i removed the plugin, because i found following piece of code on stackoverflow to defer load the js files. Works fine:

NOW MY PROBLEM and my Hope you can help me out. The only parts of my site, wich does not display correct anymore is the homepage full block AND the (same) Single Post Template (DEFAULT SITE POST TEMPLATE Style 8). This is the shortcode to reproduce it on the mainpage:

I compared the source of my site with the defer code and without – no changes.

QUESTION:

I couldn’t get Visual Composer to work on my news site.

So I just added a dev subdomain and installed a fresh WordPress, with no plugins, added Newspaper 6.7, activated the theme and added Visual Composer plugin.

VC still doesn’t work for me.

If I create a new page and click “Backend Editor” I see the VC panel.
But when I click Add Element or Add Template, nothing happens.
Adding a text block works, but thats not very useful, except it shows something works.

There can’t be a plugin conflict, so that must mean VC is looking for something that it isn’t finding – what is it?
Is it permissions? How do I debug it?
(I turned on debugging, but there are no errors listed.)
I loaded DebugBar – it also shows no problem.

I wanted to reach out for advice on setting up the mobile view for my new newspaper site- http://www.livingtosmile.com. When I visit the site there is a blue menu at the top that shows the site pages and then text that says “home [_td_block_1]”

If I click “Visit Full Site” it looks ok.

I’m using the ‘module 14’ in my ‘article display view’, which is the sub menu in ‘categories’ in the theme panel. I’ve changed the article title font of module 14 by using the sub-option ‘modules and blocks – article title’ under theme font. It works but when I refresh the page of my website then it automatically changes to another font. At the same time by refreshing it again it comes back to the font of my choice. This procedure is repeating every time when I refresh the page of my website.
The same problem is with the individual posts. I’m using the default template for individual post view but the same problem is there.
Kindly explain how to fix this issue.
I also want to change the change the font of post that’s some part appears under the article title of website’s homepage.
I also want to know about the ‘General Font’ tab that appears at number 1 under the ‘modules & blocks -article title’, ‘modules mx and other block- article title’ & ‘post-title’. (theme fonts).

A site I’m working on is going to have a fairly large files section (HR, IT, etc.) and it seems like I should really be using some type of “download manager” plugin to make categorizing and uploading easier for the person who will administer the site.

I’d really like to be able to have a page with a bunch of simple blocks (ie: Block 9 in VC) and use the nice ajax filter to help with limiting categories.

Can you recommend any plugin you’ve had experience with that will play nice with Newspaper?

If I create a page with basic editor, the page has bread scrum, page title, side bar,… However, if I use Visual Composer to add even 1 element (text block for example), the scrum, title, and side bar disappear. I don’t know what happens. Please advise. Thank you.

The picture in first block on the front page look quite pixelated. This is block 18. Any way to make the picture represented in a better way?

I use (tagDiv) Block 1, and it was working fine displaying my post radome But then I changed to using a CDN to speed up my website now the Radome post has stopped working and just stay on the same post even when I clean catch.
Is there a way of showing different post when using a CDN on my website I see on your(tagDiv) Block 1 widget it says”How to sort the posts. Notice that Popular (last 7 days) option is affected by caching plugins and CDNs. For popular posts, we recommend the jetpack (24-48hrs) method” But I’M not sure how to do it what’s the best way to go.

I just realized that my client has title with very long titles and als sometimes very long ONE WORDS,
which basically breaks into the next block title, any ideas how the resolve this?

You cannot see how it breaks into the next post, but you can imagine. And I cannot break the title manually, because the title looks ok in the post, where I have more width.
