You can use the Page builder to build you homepage like you want. You can use blocks to show different categories on you homepage and also to have a list with latest article with pagination at the bottom.

We have all the stuff 99% 🙂 on a github list https://github.com/opradu/newspaper/issues?milestone=none&page=1&state=open

@mbasche probably your request are there, but as you can see on that list was fulfilled by kind of stuff, one people request, small bugs, etc and effectively we are working full time and the list is more and more bigger. We analyze that list periodically and take from there items that we consider it should be done.

We want to make this much better of course, but we are effectively blocked. Also we want a new site for the support but of course we don’t have time to improve that 😐

I’ve tested and works fine. What you must have is the slider is limited for 2 post minim to be displayed.

Test:
Post 1 – A category
Post 2 – A + Featured
Post 3 – A + Featured

Page configuration:
Slider – A + Featured
Block – A latest
Unique – Enabled

Result
On slide: Post 2 + Post 3 (because that posts are featured)
On block: Post 1 (just Post 1 because 2 and 3 was eliminated by Unique featured, that post are on slide)

Please can you double check if you make all the steps correctly.

Also for the date can be modified to read the event date instead of the post date, but i’m not sure.

}

Add it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS

About social sharing, we had replaced the like system the new one is for sharing, is more useful.
To get that you have to update to latest version.

Also I tried to move the post title to below the first image and comment out the category button but no luck?
Can you show me exactly where you want to do that.

would be cool if instead of the category block it illuminated it on the menu
