So on the category page through theme panel i have this settings

Category header – disabled
CATEGORY TOP POSTS GRID STYLE = Grid Style 2
ARTICLE DISPLAY VIEW – Module 10
Normal Pagination.

Now when i view the category page on my site there is no space margin between the big grid style 2 and and articles.

I am also using the block 11 and custom homepage via pagebuilder.
One more thing VOICE Style is being used.

For homepage it works fine. Its happening on every category page and module. There is no space between the top and the articles on the category pages.

This is the code used, enter in text mode and it should appear

[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]

Hello,

Please do not use 2 page builders. Only choose 1
The tagdiv composer works with custom post types exactly as wpbakery as it is a theme specific implementation. Please use the post type filter like mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Choose your favorite page builder and disable the other as they will conflict between each other if both are used.

Thank you!

Hello,
Unfortunately placing ads within a loop is not simple.
You can maybe try this implementation created for category pages but we have not tested it on blocks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/ads-on-category-pages/
Thanks.

Hello! Thanks for the reply! can you tell me exactly how to copy the homepage? as I understand, to remove the demo content is to replace the corresponding blocks in the column?

Glad you could solve the issue.
1. The black demo is custom made, by theme options it is not possible to achieve that design. It contains custom CSS in it’s stylesheet
https://www.screencast.com/t/DTn5qT5f
It colors most of the theme elements with custom CSS code as seen in the stylesheet. You could use that for inspiration if you want to create something similar. Together with the browser inspector tool
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
I will try to help you further if you could mention what exactly you want to do, and where in the website.

2. The theme general width cannot be changed, it is predefined. It is not recommended to make any modifications to it, as this will most likely cause layout issues.
All the blocks and grids depend on this fixed width, their design will be damaged if it is modified.

There are row options in the composer to stretch them to predefined widths or full widths
https://www.screencast.com/t/RlJHQWPbpFHU
Also there are full big grids, which are always full width
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Header and footer can also be stretched as you mention
https://www.screencast.com/t/eDLhcqO6

But a general width setting for all the website pages is not available at the moment.

If you could provide a link to your website we will inspect the sharing issue.

Hello vancewong,

Please notice that as you want to achieve involves doing such a custom work and we cannot provide something like this at the moment, sorry! You should do this change using the API implementation which is custom work. For more information about this, please check the following documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/api-blocks-introduction/ If you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the API implementation is not covered by our support.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

If you do not want to use a static homepage built with the tagDiv composer
https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Then you could display the default blog page (latest articles list) on the website homepage. The module can be changed in the theme pane, as well a the sidebar if used
https://www.screencast.com/t/FWSFVRzFOeY
https://www.screencast.com/t/Jz6o3vwn

Please let us know if you have further questions, we will try our best to help you.

Thanks

Hi Mesotu,

No, it’s not ok to use that code, since it is going to block CSS and JS, too:
https://yoast.com/dont-block-css-and-js-files/

The 500 error IS a big deal, since Google thinks there is something wrong with your server and does report it as a server issue. Repeatedly. Weird enough, out of 15-20 themes I’ve been using, Newsmag is the ONLY one that has the issue, so there goes the ‘inherent WordPress problem’ theory. Secondly, we can’t really blame it on Google crawling those folders, because Google does not really care who’s fault it is. It either sends you more traffic or less traffic, and those errors are one of the important factors how it decides that. So, let’s not forget that we create websites so they can be SEEN by as many people as possible. If there is an issue that prevents that, no matter who’s fault it is, we have failed in accomplishing our main goal.
I have not seen a solution, yet, that is not spread over 3-4 support tickets. I am considering changing the theme just to get rid of this one problem.

Each post template style has corresponding loop-single and single files. For example post template style 2 has corresponding loop-single-2.php and single_template_2.php. And so on for all post template styles. For the default post template you will have to modify only the loop file
https://www.screencast.com/t/a6hJuWlUejq

The date format can be changes as you want, please see this topic

Hello,

Sorry but the sidebars only have 1 column. Our theme does not support 2 columns in the sidebar. There is indeed block 15 which is the only block that can show 2 posts in a single column. https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-15/

Thank you!

Good day. We wanted to add a Image Carousel that links to external pages and could not find this ‘block’ in TD Composer. We thus opened the home page in Visual Composer and added the Visual Compose block – Image Carousel.

But now, when we open the Home Page in TD Composer to edit other elements the VC Image Carousel disappears…

How can we ensure this does not happen?

Hello kame,

You should use a custom code to center the content of your blocks. You should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello devraj,

All of these settings should have been done by TD Composer when you edit your blocks. Make sure that after you have made all of these changes, you have clear all of your caches to see the results.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello nina,

Here is a block with no posts in it and that’s why nothing appears. Check the block settings and chose another filter for your posts.

Thanks.

Hi Simion C,
Thank you so much for the appreciation. I need one thing if you can guide me into the right direction Please?

This page is what I am talking about.
https://pildat.org/pildat-activities

THis page lists all posts in our wordpress db which have the tag “activities” assigned to them, order by latest to oldest post. My requirement is on per year basis. I mean like is there any way I can just list posts from year 2017 with tag “activities”, and then from year 2016 etc, block by block? I dont mind putting 10 blocks on my page, but can I configure each block to list posts from one single year only?

The first solution could be modified further, so the remaining post titles after the thumbnails removal are aligned to the left, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/gomWBLiEM
So in addition to that code add this one as well

.td_block_19 .td_module_mx2 .item-details {
margin: 0 0 20px 0px;
}

The thumbnails will be created from the featured images you set. If there is no featured images a placeholder thumbnail will be shown. These are found here in the theme
https://www.screencast.com/t/7EPGtC5naw5
There are blocks that do not display a thumbnail, you could consider using those as well. Or experiment with the new flex block as well
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/

Thanks

From what I can see the issue is resolved, there are no more duplicates
https://www.screencast.com/t/hPLDlNgol
Duplicates will appear if the unique articles setting is enabled for the page, and the blocks have pagination
https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
That setting should be disabled in you use any form of pagination on the blocks.

You could use the offset feature if you want to use same filtering and sorting in blocks/grids
https://forum.tagdiv.com/offset-feature/

Hi,

I’m trying to implement AdSense’s new InFeed ads on my post pages between the related posts.

Is there a way to add the do_shortcode with custom ad block containing the InFeed adcode somewhere between the code in td_block_related_posts.php? I’ve been looking into that piece of code but it looks like a loop and I don’t know where to add the shortcode to display the InFeed ad between related posts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,

Is this still relevant or is there a way to auto list subpages in a block now? I want to use it the same way as described by OP for a page with projects.
Thanks!

Hello, team! I have a small wish for you! If there is such a possibility, you can create a document that would specify which blocks and settings you use in your demo. Visually, it is not always possible to understand this. I’m sure many like your demo, but problems with the installation occur in many and I was one of them.

Hi there, I’m trying to customise block “Big Grid 9” such that the height of each post is 393px instead of the default 364px.

I’ve tried following the documentation pages, but I must have screwed up somewhere so I’m hoping a mod can help with the steps.

This is what I’ve tried:

  • Going to td-config.php and adding in an extra thumbnail size “264×393” (as mentioned in the documentation) instead of editing the in-built “356×364” thumbnail size for “Big Grid 9”
  • Next, I went to take a look at td_block_big_grid_9.php under includes/shortcodes. I realised that it was linked to td_module_mx15.php under includes/modules, so I didn’t edit td_block_big_grid_9.php. Instead, I went into td_module_mx15.php and edited line 22 echo $this->get_image('td_356x364'); changing it to echo $this->get_image('td_356x364');
  • Last but not least, I went to the style sheet and changed the height of .td_block_big_grid_9 .td-big-grid-post .td-module-thumb from the default 364px to 393px.
  • I’m sure I must have messed up somewhere, but can I please get some help on this? Thank you in advance!

    Спасибо, догадался сам.
    Надо вначале CSS добавить в это месте:
    */

    body {
    visibility: visible !important;
    }

    и сделать так:
    */

    body {
    visibility: visible !important;
    float: left;
    position: relative;
    }

    Может кому сгодится. Зажадничали что ли 2 строчки?
