Hi,
We came across a peculiar problem. The Front page and pagination pages do not refresh, when we publish out a new article/story. We are using WP super cache with extra home page checks turned on.
Also as recommended we have this in our .htaccess

On my WordPress installation (self hosted)homepage I have recent posts embedded into the page as well as other content. The website has news items and sometimes with fresh content several times a day. The problem is that to view latest added content I have to refresh the browser. This obviously isn’t ideal as many visitors to the website return and may not think to refresh.
Is there a way to automatically show the updated page? Or a way to solve the issue.
Thanks, any help will be appreciated
Thank you working using custom css a:link {color:#0387da;} /* unvisited link */
is it possible to change the background color of the content area in the theme panel? I have not been able to find this feature. I am able to change the theme background color but then it just puts the pages in a white block. I want to change the background color of the white block. I know I can insert css but im just wondering if there is a setting hidden somewhere.
You can write css code here. I think I will find which exactly DIV CLASS code using for heeader style otr yoiu can write sample header style class here too for better understanding.
Hi, I’ve just update the theme and now I would hide the author box only for admin posts. I’ve already added this code on “Custom CSS area” before updating:
.author-box-wrap.ADMINNAME{
display:none;
}
It was ok until the update..but now doesn’t work..
BBpress is *NOT* the same as BUDDYPRESS (buddypress implements bbpress for some of its functionality, sure). Yes, BBpress looks ok and is super seamless in newspaper theme however BuddyPress forces you to disable sidebars for all PAGE content or your groups/members/community pages will not be sized right…
I was sort of disappointed to see that while they claim to support buddypress there is no real support. You have to know how to edit CSS to fix broken styles (search boxes covering content and such) and you have to disable sidebars on page content.
The user registration process for buddypress takes over when you switch to buddypress and it works with the theme. as for cpu load, unless you get a ton of users immediately you should be able to upgrade your plan as you build a community. The only issue i saw with buddypress/bbpress was that it ads a few style sheets and javascripts which you have to defer and doing that in newspaper theme is still challenging.

Hi,
You could set a bigger line height, there is a setting that will affect the tag cloud in the theme panel font settings
– http://prntscr.com/ma3esb
Or use some CSS – http://prntscr.com/ma3fpa
.widget_tag_cloud a {
line-height: 30px;
}
Thanks
Hi,
You need to set on each module that show titles that italics style ( https://www.screencast.com/t/qEcFusupN ), or using custom css https://www.screencast.com/t/cHRGN6s2M2
.entry-title {
font-style : italic;
}
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
Please double check check the HTML you are using, maybe one of the link tags are not closed, there will be problems if the HTML is not valid.
There is a link not closed here – http://prntscr.com/ma1vd7 it will include all the following content in the page after it if not closed.
For the color you could use some CSS – http://prntscr.com/ma1x1l to color them all at once
.tdm_block_food_menu a {
color: red;
}
For the image to have a link there would be no solution. What exactly do you want to display by this manner? Maybe there are other ways you could try. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
@media(max-width:767px){
a{
color:red!important;
}
}
The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/VtEyRIu8
Thanks.
Hi,
1. That information can be modified or removed in the Theme panel->Multi-purpose section
– http://prntscr.com/ma1gjl
2. Please check in the CSS tab containing the top header elements, there will be a couple of overlay colors set there
– http://prntscr.com/ma1iyp
3. Maybe with a plugin that you can implement something like that in pages, by shortcode. A plugin in which you can create collapsible text sections as you want, maybe there are such plugins. The tagDiv composer doesn’t have such an element or feature at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Some examples would be very helpful with as many details as possible, so I can understand what exactly the CSS code should do and for what elements it should apply. I will try to give you a solution.
Thanks
Hi,
The black demo has extensive CSS customization in order to look as it is
– http://prntscr.com/ma105m
Uninstalling a demo or installing a new one will remove this customization of the previous demo and also the theme panel settings, leaving everything as it was before the demo was installed or replacing it with the ones from the new demo.
You could remove the body class of the demo from the theme panel, then the demo CSS will not apply anymore. Should be a class set here – http://prntscr.com/ma13kp called td-black I believe. This may work, you could give it a try.
Thanks
Hi,
If this is what you looking for -> https://www.screencast.com/t/n3l110QPAsbB , then here is the custom css
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap,
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full{
height: 108px!important;
}
.td-header-menu{
margin-top: 28px;
}
.header-search-wrap {
top: 28px;
}
.td-main-menu-logo img {
top: 32px;
}
Please set it in Newspaper>theme panel>Custom code>Advanced css -> Phones
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/GEft0PLDaB
Thanks.
Hi,
In order to do this you need to use some custom css, and this is apply different on each header style, so in order to provide you the right custom css please provide a link were I can inspect your header.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you to change the default fonts of the theme, sorry! If you want to make something like this, you need to do it yourself through the code because we can not provide custom work at the moment, sorry! You can check the following topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-from-roboto-to-open-sans-on-body-p-elements-of-css/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
You should do it yourself through the custom CSS code. Use the inspector browser from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
You can try using the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-main-menu-logo img {
max-height: 65px !important;
}}
Thanks.
I was thinking of enabling comments for pages from theme panel
then using CSS to hide comment area for the pages I do not want comments.
but even after enabling it, i dont see a comment section on my about page
https://ibb.co/7r2XDK9
I want to get partial italics in post titles. I can achieve this in the post title itself using <i>…</i> or …. This shows up ok in the post title. However, it is not reflected when the title appears elsewhere. See this:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Dkwc6m9wV4ZwvRecR4hM0fM25SRuq-nb/view?usp=sharing
…where the post title is Flying Machines New Life but not in the Block 2 loop in the sidebar where there is no italic in this title.
Is this be possible now with CSS or in a future edition of Newspaper? I would love to have this option.
Thanks, MG
*UPDATE 2* Fixed it!
Here’s how.
Open the row settings for the row containing your block 16.
Open the CSS editor at the bottom of the settings panel.
Insert this:
.td-module-title a{
color:#ffffff!important;
}
.td_block_16 .td-excerpt {
color: #dcdcdc;
}
Voila!

Hello,
Please help me to create special CSS style that I will use for special occasions in some of my future text on PAGES.
I need to create an additional style that will use the same font as I use, but 60% height of the original font size. I will use it as risk warnings, disclaimers etc. under the original text.
How do I do this in Newspaper ? I am unfortunately not skilled in CSS.
Hi,
I’m looking to change a few fonts for the area below the video in video template 11:
Related articles tab font
Related articles post title font
Here is a screenshot: https://i.ibb.co/x1TdLQ1/font.png
I can’t seem to find it in the theme panel > theme fonts > ????
Can someone point me in the right direction or provide the CSS?
Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.
Hi Calin,
Thanks for your reply. That unfortunately didn’t solve the problem. Let me explain better, I need to add an extra ** CSS class ** (not additional CSS properties) to all the featured images. Javascript will not work for us, because we require web crawlers recognize this new CSS class. And as such, webcrawlers will not run the javascript, but only crawl the HTML. Perhaps you can tell me where I can edit the html where the class names are set?
May I know in what document to find the above in the editor?
Thank you
