Hello,

Please activate the post author and post date on all posts from the theme panel here: http://screencast.com/t/KDI3uRlh and then test again. It needs the post date so if you have this disabled, you will get these errors.
If this is the case, and you require the date hidden, you can use css to hide them:
.single .td-post-date {
display:none;
}

Thank you!

Is there any way to do that with CSS?

Hi,

Unfortunately we have not tested importing content in our theme and we cannot say for sure what this happens. I suspect your posts have the left padding due to a previous theme. Please check the html markup in post edit in text mode and remove any padding that could be set to each post.
As for the images, unfortunately our theme does not have any tools to edit the aspect ratio or size. Our theme uses thumbnails for images on posts that are 696 pixels width. If your images do not have at least 696px width, then they will no be aligned center. Unfortunately you will have to add an align:center propriety in html mode to the images you want aligned center as a general css will affect all of the images at once.

Thank you!

Hi,

The default big grid 4 looks like this: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-4/ The one you pointed out is the one from the say what demo. Each demo has it;s own unique style. If you want to have the style of the demo, then you need to install the demo or use custom code to customize the style of your grid.
You can try this css code in the theme panel-> custom css code:

.td_block_big_grid_4 .td-post-category, .td_block_big_grid_4 .td-module-meta-info{
display:none!important;
}
.td_block_big_grid_4 .td-big-grid-meta{
padding-bottom:20px;
}

Thank you!

Hello,

This happens because you use the news magazine demo. Every demo has it;s own style. The background color for the text is not present on this demo. It will only change the underline color for the titles, but there is no way of adding a text background from the settings. You can use css to do it though. FOr this you need to assign a custom class to the row containing the element: http://screencast.com/t/XZDTwAgGgsOH and then you can use it inside this code like so:
.mycustomclass .block-title span{
background-color:red!important;
padding-left:15px!important
}

You can add the code in the theme panel -> custom css box.

Thank you!

Hello,
Unfortuantly the mobile theme footer cannot be changed from the theme settings.
You can use thios css though to hide the footer and only leave the sub-footer showing:
.td-mobile-footer-wrap{
display:none!important;
}

Thank you!

Hi,
Sorry but I cannot see any sliding elements or crooked layouts. Where exactly is this happening? The homepage does not even have any theme blocks on it.
Please try to restore the theme to it;s default code as you may have added some custom css that breaks the layout. Be careful when using visual composer and use this guide: forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thank you!

The code is ->

.td-author-counters .td-author-comments-count {
display:none;
}

The result -> http://screencast.com/t/f05fnljC5

Hello gilvancn,

If you want to make your main container being wider, also you will have to change the width of the theme and please notice that our product does not have such an option for dynamic width and we do not recommend to do that through the custom CSS code because the layout of the theme will be damaged. If you want to change the width of the theme to be in full-width mode, please notice that is not a simple task and you will have to adjust the entire theme to the new width for better results. If you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Also, I have noticed that above sites which you gave me, as an example, are supports the RTL mode while out theme do not support this mode, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello rapfister,

If you want to remove this drop-down menu, you will have to use a bit of CSS code to do that. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-subcat-dropdown {
display:none!important;
}

The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/OvFYVh8G61md

Also, please notice that this drop down menu with the bar items come from Ajax filter which displays all the categories available for this Block. So, the drop down menu bar appears because these categories are too much and its cannot fit only the first row and that’s why the drop down is created. If you want to remove this you will have to use the above code but please notice that these categories will not appear.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi

I am trying to get title background for blocks and modules on the first page of my site at http://www.womensgolf.com. I’ve selected ‘Optional – Choose a custom title background color for this block’ on block settings on the page but this only changes the line color. I’ve also selected ‘HEADERS BACKGROUND COLOR Select a global header background color’ in the GENERAL Theme colors.

I’m not having any luck – there are no css code related additions added.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong.

Thanks

Richard

Since the mobile version doesn’t show the theme background at all, I’d wish that there is a way to prevent loading it in the first place. Is that possible?

Overruling CSS with { background-image: none; } won’t help, since it will be loaded/transferred in the first place, right?

Thanks!

I would like to have some VC stuff in the header as I would like to enable and disable a Breaking News Box across the whole website.

Here’s the code I have place in the single page

<?php echo do_shortcode("[vc_row][vc_column][vc_message color="alert-info"]Welcome to WNewsNetwork's New Website. Read the latest Social News on Your Social News Network. If you don't have a WNewsNetworks Account, please signup just below.[/vc_message]"); ?>
<?php echo do_shortcode("[td_block_trending_now style="style2" limit="3"]"); ?>
<?php echo do_shortcode("[vc_message message_box_style="solid" style="square" message_box_color="black" icon_fontawesome="fa fa-globe" css=".vc_custom_1470441776291{background-color: #000000 !important;}"]
<h1><span style="color: #ffffff;">#WNNBreakingExample Breaking News Story</span></h1>
[/vc_message]"); ?>

But I’m having issues with a php error on line 9.

Hi, I’ve solved this by using the following CSS (in both standard Theme and Mobile Theme):

body {
margin-right: 30px;
background-color: white;
}

Hi.

I Just bought and installed the theme. I imported a demo and tried to play around.

I wanted to change the excerpt font color by implementing the code given here using the child theme’s stylesheet. It didn’t work, however.

I tried pasting the code on the theme panel (custom css), and it worked when either “! important” or “home” was added.

I’m wondering whether the child theme stylesheet can be used for custom css? If yes, then why didn’t the code work?

In addition, I’m not comfortable with “! important”, thus, I’d rather target specific classes if necessary. Can you point me to where to find the theme’s classes? Or at least, may I know what is the class to target a page or all pages or a single post?

Hope you can help.

Alright, so you are telling me to delete the current Newspaper theme, download a new Newspaper theme, and that it will work properly. If I do that will I lose all of the settings I have such as all of the fonts, the colors, the custom CSS, and all of that? I’m pretty sure I would lose all of that. But I can’t lose all of that stuff. Took me way too long to get right. How do I go about using the newly downloaded Newspaper theme without losing all of my hard work?

The standard container width (.td-container) desktop is 1068px. I wonder if you have any way to change this width by theme settings without having to use extra CSS in child theme?

Thanks for your tip @Andrei L.

I have found the main style codes in the style.css file and changed the relevant background styles like this:

.white-popup-block:after {
content: '';
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
display: block;
background: rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.9);
background: -moz-linear-gradient(45deg, rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.8) 0%, rgba(255, 203, 127, 0.8) 100%);
background: -webkit-gradient(left bottom, right top, color-stop(0%, rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.8)), color-stop(100%, rgba(255, 203, 127, 0.8)));
background: -webkit-linear-gradient(45deg, rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.8) 0%, rgba(255, 203, 127, 0.8) 100%);
background: -o-linear-gradient(45deg, rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.8) 0%, rgba(255, 203, 127, 0.8) 100%);
background: -ms-linear-gradient(45deg, rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.8) 0%, rgba(255, 203, 127, 0.8) 100%);
background: linear-gradient(45deg, rgba(255, 205, 0, 0.8) 0%, rgba(255, 203, 127, 0.8) 100%);
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#ffcd00', endColorstr='#ffe67f', GradientType=1);
z-index: -2;
}

Salut.

As vrea sa fie ceva asemanator cu asta : http://prnt.sc/c1zdka

Hi,

1. Try this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Csshttp://screencast.com/t/bt8dCjNbjA6
2. Try to play a little with the menu item line-height – http://screencast.com/t/o8LxkV2CO

Thanks!

HI

1. This could be achieved by editing theme’s code. Basically you need to edit the file which generate the header style used and use do_shortcode function to echo out the shortcode which generate that custom menu. http://screencast.com/t/GfnuK6fiYw

2. By default the category page cannot be customized to much, the post order if fixed. However you can use a code snippet to generate a custom one using Visual Composer. Here is an example:
– create a new page and add on blocks which will display all desired posts for the custom category page. You can use all available filters for blocks.
– create a new category page, ex: custom category
– edit category.php file and add a contrition like here: http://screencast.com/t/gxZTyMpw
For ,ore detaisl about is_category function please check this link: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/is_category/

This is just a basic example but could be customized in many different ways. Note that you may need some additional css for page’s layout.

I hope this helps.
Thanks!
