I just upgraded to Newspaper 6 today due the latest Visual Composer not working with Newspaper 4 (at least, it didn’t for me). Anyway, I’m trying to create a page template, however I’m having a few issues.

Effectively, the template that I created allowed was a standard page, but had a logo (Background image) at the top of the page content (underneath the header), with a menu underneath. The code for this on Newspaper 4 was:

All of the pagebuilder/visual composer content would show as normal below this ‘submenu’ (wtog-menu). What would be the best way to have the same shown in Newspaper 6? I noticed the code on the other existing templates are much more complex, so any help would be appreciated.

Sorry if I am asking for something I should know. I am getting there just need some help.

I found this in the newsnag panel theme Ads. Which is whats displaying in my newsmag theme header ads

I would like to put an ad in the same box. With a link that would go straight to the advert website.
For example the website address is http://www.hrpeopleafrica.com. I also tried to make the size of the image to display 728pix by 90 pix, as specified in the advert space but it was smaller.(I think I was very wrong)

My questions.
1. How do I generate a code to display in the header ad area as specified in the theme panel ads?
2. How do I get a proper size for images? for example using a photoshop to get the right image size for the ads in the newsmag theme header ad.

I am having a problem since upgrading from 6.4 to 6.5.1 with my header. Many times the header is not displaying my logo or my menu. I have cleared all caches, including cloud flare.

It will reappear if the visitor scrolls down then back up.

I will post my url but prefer to do it privately.

How can I delete the default padding between the header and the first row as well as the last row and the footer.

If that is not possible, how can I change the background color in the site area. I can only change the sides of the boxed layout but not the site itself.

Please kindly advice on how I would upload my own advert, for instance the header and side bar advert. It only says it would automatically work for Google adsense. Please give me a path to follow. I thought I see something where I could just upload the image and put the link behind it. Please help with this.

I installed and activated the theme here> http://futrankings.wpengine.com/

Then I added the adsense code in my ad boxes on the theme panel but they wont show! I have an active (not new) ad that is working already but it wont work on this site.

I tried deactivating all plug ins but still wont work.

I am using header ad, top ad and sidebar ad and none of them are working. But I am using a non Adsense advertising as custom ad 1 and that is working properly.

I get a 508 Error (Resource Limit Is Reached) almost every time I run a search on the website using the search bar in header (site/?s=<term>).
When analyzing my cpanel data (I have a shared hosting) I noticed that at the time when I click on search, more than 5 (Entry) Processes are created – and that exceeds my hosting package limit.

Can you please tell me more about the php code that runs on search so that I can investigate further? Also, do you have any suggestion on how I can work some optimizations here without upgrading my hosting pacakge?

I have Newspaper Theme v6.2 installed on my website.

On few of my category pages the category description is not showing and also all menu items in the header is not getting displayed.

The category description is added in the backend already and i have also tried clearing the cache but i am still unable to view it.

Please let me know how to resolve it as in google crawling its creating a issue for me.
