Hello ghostmi,
I suppose that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with our theme and cause a lot of unknown issues, like Rocket Loader, WP-Rocket, etc. Please notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins. Try to disable all of the plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. For more information about our Ad System, please consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-ads/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/ Also, if the problem is still there, please try to make a new fresh install via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard and check the results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for the message!
I cam up with a work around, but would like to solve the matter correctly. I simply have entered the logo text and the tagline text directly into Newspaper\parts\header\logo-text.php lines 119 and 131.
But please send me the proper fix:
<span class=”td-logo-text”><?php if(!$td_logo_text) { echo “HUNTING FOR THOMPSON”; } else { echo $td_logo_text; } ?></span>
<?php
if($td_use_h1_logo === true) {
echo ‘</h1>’;
};
?>
<span class=”td-tagline-text”><?php if(!$td_tagline_text) { echo “IF YOU’RE A FAN, NO EXPLANATION IS NEEDED – IF YOU’RE NOT, NONE CAN BE GIVEN”; } else { echo $td_tagline_text; } ?></span>
</span>

This error has come about a few hours ago. I’m trying to restore the site, but really want to know why this happened and a permanent fix.

Hi,
likely Feb. ?
I have to get our new corporate website 2017 done for January (working on that right now, oh wait, no I’m not, I’m here!) 😉
Using super lean WordPress home-brew theme, with Bootstrap 3x and avoiding some dumb aspects of WordPress (like, why enqueue css in head, then unenque with function, then manually put in footer .. ? why not just put it in footer to begin with – duh !).
Anyway… for this plugin doing some neat things for our own “corporate site,” like adding the excerpt box for pages, so THAT can be used for SEO elements, and custom field for Facebook image; basically couple of really simple things to not have to load Yoast SEO and ACF to do some really basic things. I don’t use YOAST SEO for anything except the headers META and sitemap, and it’s getting freaky bloated now for just doing that!
Anyway… the idea for plugin is to allow me to add all the stuff I keep doing in one darn plugin so I can stop editing every damn functions.php file !
However, before I can release to public I will need to make some admin panel options, to turn stuff off/on (like maybe you want the stupid emoticons?), and perhaps you want less compression than “50,” so how nice to have an option to set quality factor in a box ? Yeah!
So after 12 years with WordPress, finally snapped on this latest project and said “you know, why don’t I just put all this damn stuff into a plugin?” — anyway, that’s the plan. Doing it for myself, and this will trickle into a free thing others can use.
Peace out!
Chris
Thanks for returning to this, Bogdan.
From the screencast you linked above, one would have to add the snippet to the head section of the site, meaning the header.php file.
But precisely how should one edit the header.php file so that all the hundreds of already published posts are affected?
I will have a look at the guides you kindly linked.
Vesa
Hi Bogdan,
Following your suggestion – would you have an idea about the following (copied from my follow-up question above)?
What, therefore, should be the “content” in the “og:url” meta property in the header.php file, so that all changed URLs are affected collectively? Or is that possible in the first place? If it is, could you fill it in below?
<meta property=”og:url” content=”___________________” />
Hello deelv,
Unfortunately, I do not have any access to your screenshot and also, I do not exactly understand what you mean. So, if you want to add some buttons to your header menu, please notice that our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to add some buttons there but the only way to do this would be to use the do_shortcode of Visual Composer and then, add the code in the specific core file, according to your header style used by you. For example, if you are using the Header Style 1 you should alter the code to the header-style-1.php like this -> http://screencast.com/t/O3ksoXxtn0 The shortcode can be created when you edit a page, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/dOskl5tBHj -> http://screencast.com/t/lnbhA7lldl9X and the right syntax for this method should be like this -> <?php echo do_shortcode('here you should add your shortcode'); ?>
For more information about this method, please consult here -> https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/do_shortcode/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
I will add this to our buglist so we can add the css fix in the future updates. Until then please add this code in the theme panel->custom css:
@media(min-width:767px){
#search-members-form #members_search_submit{
left: 0!important;;
}}
As for the headers, it depends where the header gets it’s style. In this case it’s a buddypress style that affects the header color.
You can use this css code to target ALL block titles at once and have them the color that you want:
.td-main-sidebar .block-title > span{
background-color:black!important;
}
Thank you!
I cleared caches and also worked through all the menu styles. I found that the login would appear when using styles 1,3,5,7,8,10,and 11. But not 4,5,6 unless I deleted the logo image.
I’m trying to create a menu bar that’s short in height and includes the menu tabs plus the Login on one line. When the Login appears above the main menu row of text, its almost as high as including the original top menu bar.
I tried shifting the PHP login widget code after the menu code in the ‘header-menu.php’ file but it didn’t shift the login text to the right side.
I’m now testing some Login plugins to see if I can get a menu bar about 45 px high that includes a login.
I have another question related to the loading of the menu and all the site pages. When a menu tab is clicked why does the menu always flash load the default black-blue colors first, and then replace with my chosen custom colors? The menu font also goes to bold then back to the normal capitalized which I have selected in the Newspaper settings.
Also why do the pages always flash and completely reload when each new pages is opened?. It seems that some pre-loading is required or there’s a coding loop somewhere that double loads the menu, the background image, and the pages.
Could you suggest a fix? It’s distracting as is.

Hi Guys,
I’ve noticed that on certain posts my header runs across the full width of my screen (as it does on my homepage), and on other posts it’s contained within a border. This happens even when two posts use the same Post Template.
For example, I set Post Template 7 has my site’s default. In this post, both the header and featured image run across the full width of the screen:
http://www.irreverentgent.com/profiles-in-confidence-keith-lai-fitmole-interview/
But in this post, both are contained in a box that leaves a white border on either side of the page:
http://www.irreverentgent.com/instant-upgrade-uniqlo-merino-wool-sweater-review/
I would like to do two things:
1. Fix the second example post above so that the featured image runs the full width of the screen.
2. Make sure my header runs the full width of the screen regardless of which page/post template I’m using.
Thanks!
Dave
Is there a way to add a button to the header menu to make a specific menu item stick out? I’ve seen this done on other sites and wondering if there is a way to do it with tagdiv. Here’s an example of a website using a button on their header — http://i64.tinypic.com/23suqg7.png
I am adding BuddyPress to my site and noticed a problem with the alignment of the search button. I attached a screenshot showing the problem. I need to know how to fix the alignment of the button because it looks terrible at the moment.
Also, how do I make all the sidebar headers black? Sometimes they are grey or blue and I want them to be black only. The screenshot shows this problem too.

Hi, After I read document about Ads. I’m confuse and can’t find answer about banner ads.
If I get banner image from customer to show on header or sidebar and link it to their website.

Hi
When a page loads on the mobile this orange header with a white rectangle briefly pops up in the header:
http://smallcaps.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/mobile-orange-and-white-box.jpg
It makes the site look cheap and as if there is an error with it.
How can I stop this from loading up on the mobile and tablet site?
Website is:
http://smallcaps.com.au/
Thanks
Well our theme colors will not affect all elements unfortunately. The page text refers to a text added on a page that is not inside a block or visual composer element. Any element that is created using visual composer. can only be changed with css or from the block settings (headers and hover colors)
You can easily create your about me page without using visual composer, and then the color sin the theme panel will affect your page.
Thank you!
Hello alienplot,
You should try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
.page-id-10270 .td-header-style-8-wrapper, .page-id-10270 .td-footer-wrap, .page-id-10270 .td-sub-footer-wrap{
display:none;
}
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello investimpactly,
If you want to move your logo to the left you should use the margin-left:0. So, please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo img{
max-height: 150px!important;
margin-left:0;
}
The result is here -> http://screencast.com/t/bmwxXDAWOW
Thanks.
How can I hide the header and footer of this page http://laradiodetotoral.com.ar/app/
I tested the css code
Page-id-10270 .td-header-wrap, .page-id-10270 .td-footer-wrapper,
.page-id-10270 .td-sub-footer-container {
Show: none! Important
}
it does not work.
I look forward to your help. Greetings.
Hello Bogdan,
I just started getting the same ‘flashing’ display of the header menu default colors loading before my custom colors are displayed. I turned off any recent plugins and pasted in the CSS you posted above in the Newspaper/Style.css file at the bottom of page.
I’m using Newspaper, Magazine front page, and Header Style #4.
Thanks.
Hello Bogdan,
Is there an update for the menu location fix which you describe in this thread? I’m using Newspaper v7.4 and the shift of login code didn’t work for me. Nothing additional was displayed on the header menu.
Thanks
Hello Gadgetsay,
You should try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-header-wrap .black-menu .sf-menu > .menu-item-6705 > a{
background-color:red!important;
}
Thanks.
