Hi

Sorry for misunderstanding.
This happens because you’re using homepage post element which extends by default above main menu. Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css to make the background black: http://screencast.com/t/yQMoNEoaV

.home .td-header-style-8 .td-header-sp-logo {
background-color: black;
}

Thanks!

How to add a third menu in the header.
We want to have a third menu just below the main menu

Hello,
Well if you have a black logo, you need to change the black header on mobile for it to be visible. You can change colors or the mobile menu in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/ZLl0leWrPgjM or if you use the mobile theme, under the mobile theme color settings.
Thank you!

Hi,

Your screenshot shows me the exact problem. I am not talking about the menu bar. I am talking about the “header background colour”.

The Circus Bazaar Logo is supposed to sit on a black full-width background.

Hello brianzulberti,

I have checked your website and I saw that you are using the Header Style 3, the main menu which is boxed by default and that’s why it is not fit along the width. You will have to change your header styles to another. For more information about this, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ Regarding on footer (footer background), please notice that you have some settings that allow you to customize it as you wish, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/MKgyeJr6
Also, you can try our demo preview and check all the elements which should be the same with yours (as a theme behavior) -> http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your message!

Hello totalfood,

Your banner ad code is generated from Adsense? Please notice that the settings for size are available only for Adsense code. For more information about these Ads implementation, please consult our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-ads-adsense/ Also, if you are using another ad code (not Adsense), please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
Please notice that the WP Pro Ad System is not tested with our theme and we cannot provide support for this. Also, this plugin might interact with the theme code and cause a lot of unknown issues. For ruling out these conflicts, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled ith our theme.

Thanks for your understanding!

Good evening,

To begin with, I am sorry for asking six questions in a row. I tried to figure each one out for myself but didn’t have any luck. And I am under time constraints. But this is my last question for now. Please examine my homepage at http://www.mentalhealthsuggestions.com. The first Visual Composer row and element is the long yellow “Under Construction” banner. It is the first row. I went and changed the margin 0 zero, but I still couldn’t get it to position flush under the black menu bar. I don’t want any white background showing between the header and the first graphic. Help!

I like how this theme gives you an option for a sign in / join field in the top header. However, when I click on it, it gives no options to “join” or to “create an account.” It merely gives you the interface for logging in. How can I change this behavior so that people can make new user accounts directly from the top header?

Hey Andrei,

So, Here are all the codes they sent me, can you please tell me where to place them? I tried doing what you suggested, but it doesn’t show. So, I’m guessing that I need to add some custom css.

//script tag, place in header
<script type=”text/javascript” async=”async” src=”http://widgets.outbrain.com/outbrain.js”></script&gt;

// footer unit, place below content
<div class=”OUTBRAIN” data-widget-id= “TF_1” data-src = “” data-ob-template=”shanaplandebate” ></div>

// sidebar unit, place in right sidebar
<div class=”OUTBRAIN” data-widget-id= “TS_1” data-src = “” data-ob-template=”shanaplandebate” ></div>

I had an issue where all my social sharing buttons disappeared and other weirdness.

http://cowboylifestylenetwork.com/chef-magbanua-brings-experience-creativity-arroyo-grille/

I had to copy the images directory into the child theme.

I also updated the style.css from the new child theme.

I don’t think the change long had any changes to functions.php or header.php.

Good afternoon,

Please visit http://www.mentalhealthsuggestions.com. If you look at the page, you will see that both the top header menu and the entire footer stretch from one side of the viewport to the other side of the viewport.

However, everything else does not stretch from one side of the viewport to the other side of the viewport. For example, the logo area + advertisement area, the main menu, and the page content (although I don’t currently have any page content on my homepage) do not stretch to the sides of the viewport. The result is that you see part of the plain white background around the fringes of the content.

What can I do to make each element of the page stretch completely from one side to the other? For instance, I think it looks bad how my main menu doesn’t stretch while the top header does. Additionally, what if I want to begin a given page with a full width picture that goes from one side of the viewport to the other side of the viewport before returning to a layout where you can see the fringes of the background for the rest of the page? How do I go about doing that? Essentially, please tell me how to switch back and forth between these two alternatives at will.

I was planning to use the The Header Style #3 for my site but do not want to use Google Adsense.
I want to manage the Ad display myself and load on the ad banners myself.
What do I need to do on my end?

Hey,

Yes, you are correct about updating visual composer but I am not left with a second issue. Thankyou!

Nevertheless, the update has left my front page Header Background Colour transparent. Strangely enough on refresh it it appears black but 0% opacity appears within a second.

I know this as I changed it to red during testing. All plugins were disabled and cache refreshed.

Hello,

I am having some issues when it comes to setting a custom menu for the theme. I have edited td_menu.php in a child theme to include a Mobile Menu location like so:

    function hook_init() {
        register_nav_menus(
            array(
                'top-menu' => 'Top Header Menu',
                'header-menu' => 'Header Menu (main)',
                'footer-menu' => 'Footer Menu',
                'mobile-menu' => 'Mobile Menu'
            )
        );
    }

Then I have added the new mobile-menu to the location inside parts/menu-mobile.php.

wp_nav_menu(array(
                'theme_location' => 'mobile-menu',
                'menu_class'=> 'td-mobile-main-menu',
                'fallback_cb' => 'td_wp_no_mobile_menu',
                'link_after' => '<i class="td-icon-menu-right td-element-after"></i>',
                'walker'  => new td_walker_mobile_menu()
            ));

The mobile menu works as expected, but the mega menu no longer works. Do you have any idea why this might be? If I change the theme_location on menu-mobile.php then it works as expected. It seems to be that small change that breaks the mega menu functionality.

Thanks.

A manual theme update fixed the problem with the article author, but the Stay Connected header color will not change to black even though it is set to #000000 in the Newspaper default sidebar http://darkhorsenews.com/mistrust-of-clinton-on-trade-shadows-her-at-democratic-convention/.

I will email you straight away to contact@tagdiv.com adding my ticket id on subject, since sensitive information will be included there and you miss private reply option here.

In case custom work is needed and you can suggest a developer or can quote me, feel free to do so.

Hello alittl19,

If you want to hide the main menu for all your pages, please try the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.page .td-header-menu-wrap {
display:none;
}

Thanks.

Bogdan B.

Hello,
If you want to hide all of the menu bar, you can user this code:
@media(max-width:767px){
.td-header-menu-wrap-full{
display:none!important;
}}

Add it in the custom css spot of the theme panel.
Thank you!

Hi

I have tried to get the menu item on 2 levels but it cannot position properly due to the header style’s elements the arrow indicating the sub-menu, the underline for the hovered and active elements, they will not permit a proper positioning of such a word. Sorry. What you can do however is reduce the padding a bit so your menu will stay on one row like so:
.sf-menu a.sf-with-ul{
padding-right: 15px!important;;
}

If this is not what you intended and you still require the menu item to be on 2 rows, then you will have to hire some help as it will require quite a bit of altering of the menu items for it to position properly.

Thank you!
