1) The best thing you can do about the header menu is to use header style 10 http://screencast.com/t/9FgB9fcMS199 and remove the custom CSS from your theme panel.
2) There is nothing that i can do about your logo as the white space comes from the image itself. Edit your logo and remove the white space in a photo editor.

2. I want my logo to be bigger, but no matter what i do the size stays 272×90 (also in header 9). How can I change the size of the logo?

Hi – I’ve just purchased Newspaper and am investigating whether it will support all the customisations I have built with my current theme.
One aspect that isn’t working as expected is I have some custom post content that is configured using the Toolset group of plugins.
You can see how it outputs using my current theme here.
This is how the same page outputs using Newspaper:
I obviously haven’t configured the logo, menus and sidebar, but my concern is that none of the custom post content is visible, except for the title.
The Toolset support have said the following:

I just bought this theme 1 week ago, i installed the theme with their content inside.
I delete it all the posts were them and made a little modification for the categories, logo and this stuff.
I already made 10 posts and the web site is online ( http://www.storypickers.com )
These days i see in this forum and some other people suggest me to install the child theme (which is already at your newspaper folder?)
So i have 3 questions:
1) Why i have to install the childe theme?
2) Can i keep the theme just like it is, like i had installed with yours content inside?
3) If i install the child theme, will my posts and everything i have done delete it?

1. This can be caused by Speed Booster plugin(if you use it) which move the css and js at the bottom of the page structure so that the page will load faster, this is why the theme default color appears first then changes, because of the cascading property of css. A solution is to change the color directly into css stylesheet file.

I believe this happens due to cache. No i am refering to area where is placed social icons on right and Login/register on left. Here would like to place something like phone number instead of social icons and maybe working time instead of login/register.

1.When i change some default settings like color or font and refresh the page, first loads default font and then is changed in my chosen one. It is only sechond but can i somehow prevent that?
2. I have bigger logo then suggested dimensions, where can i change this settings, i tried in css to put height 220px but then logo is not sharp any more.

We had our logo showing perfectly at the 500 x 150 we wanted it at.
Then out of the blue over the past few days it changed.
our main logo has somehow gone back to being smaller and is now showing up resized (500px × 150px (scaled to 272px × 82px))
we did not make ANY changes to the stylesheet coding.
Can someone please remind me where we can find this code in the Stylesheet and STOP this auto resizing from happening.

I am trying header style 8 and when I change the color of the top bar part, it covers the logo.

thanks again for the reply Bogdan but I don’t see how the size of the banner is the issue. I have uploaded a bigger banner and the same thing happens, it is sized exactly the same way. The size of the uploaded logo doesn’t seem to make any difference.
It must be a code issue for me to rectify it? Can you check out the code on my page please?

If you properly install the theme (see docs right side of page), you will see the theme admin panel with settings for page templates, general settings (logos, etc.), fonts, etc.
I’ll start off by saying that i am not the most tech savvy person out there. That being said, last time I used this theme I had no trouble editing the fonts, logo, favicon, images, texts, etc. This time around I cannot even seen to find the editor. What am I missing here? I have downloaded visual composer but cannot seem to find anything that will allow me to edit any of the themes details other than site headline, tagline and primary pages. Any ideas?

If you want to increase the size of your logo, you will have to upload a bigger image/banner, to fit the size of the white space.

I have removed the logo and added the custom css, however I want the banner to fit the WHOLE white header area, not just be centered with lots of white space.
