You likely need to remove the auto generated echo home_url() to the static URL you want in all the header-styleX.php files to be safe.
in the /parts/ folder, try the
header-style-1.php
logo-mobile.php
edit this line

I tried doing option 1 before and it completely broke my whole site to the point that I had to recreate all of my posts, and images…it was a nightmare.
I tried the second option before. well, I erased the entire line. it didnt work.
Then i tried your suggestion of replacing the php line, but it failed to work and the logo still links to pitchforkmarketing.com
Im working of of the child theme file “header-style-1.php”
I’m certain that is the correct file. Any other options

Try changing the site url in WordPress’s settings (“General” tab) to pitchforkmarketing.com/blog. This represents where the WP site is.
The target of that link is generated in whichever header file is associated with the style you’ve chosen in the theme panel (and located in wp-content/themes/Newspaper/parts/). The relevant code is <?php echo home_url(); ?>. If the first step fails to work, or for some reason you don’t want to change youur site url, you could create a child theme and change the line to <?php echo home_url() . '/blog'; ?>.

I really need help here,
I need to remove the hyperlink from my blog logo/site title, or change the destination…preferably change the destination.
Right now when the logo is clicked, it goes to http://pitchforkmarketing.com
But that is a landing page, i need it to link to
http://pitchforkmarketing.com/blog, which is my actual blog
Or not link to anything at all and i can just add a “home” link in the nav menu.

I use for homepage : Homepage – with article list . I had made also a comment in themeforest and the answer from staff was this:

The other elements on page like block/modules titles use h3 and h4 tags. When we built the templates we followed the best practices used by Yoast and other SEO specialists.
If you hide the title on page using css display: none or moving it outside of the visible screen area (ex. position: absolute; top: 9999px; ) Google will penalize you. But it is not good for style to have a text as h1 visible! Any other suggestion? If i set logo with h1, also in posts i am going to have 2 h1 tags, and this is not right.

The logo looks like that because of it’s original size, try to add an logo for mobile from theme panel.

I’m having an issue with logo display on mobile.
I’m using header style 2, and i’ve configured same image on both places (Logo => Logo upload & Logo for mobile => Logo mobile In Menu).
I had logo problems in the past, and i was told to add following css:
.mobile-logo-wrap img {
height: 100%;
width: auto;
top: 0px;
}
but since recent theme upgrades (older than 4.2.1), i have a new display issue.
Is there a way to use Style 2 and adapt custom CSS ?

Hey Guys! I tried to set my logo as full width (teilado.de) but i still have white blocks on both sides. I tried adding this code in custom css but it only got rid of the white space on top of the logo

i also tried making the logo longer but it only gets smaller and does not fill the white space.

I have my logo set up to by style 3 – I need this as I want a full width logo. Is there any way to make it a full width logo on my phone? Or even to come up on the phone as I just get nothing currently (digitalnomadwannabe.com)

No, I’m actually getting the same thing as you, duplicate og:image tags that both point to the featured image. And I’ve actually dropped Yoast on my primary site thanks to the numerous issues the plugin has. SEO Ultimate is working nicely. But I’ve tried both to see if this issue is affected by it, no dice.
Facebook is working perfectly. Also using Jetpack publicize. Until this last theme update the google plus posts were excellent, as were Facebook and twitter. Now, the latter two are fine but google is missing the featured image. Even more strange, to me, is that when manually posting to google it only shows my logo, an ad, and the author image as options. That’s whether I post to google via my ESSB plugin or manually from my google profile.
My point is, if it’s google having an issue then that was some pretty fantastic timing that the issue started on the post immediately following the theme upgrade. No clue how that works out, if it is the theme, but I gotta go with a plausible theory in this case, not some far-fetched coincidence.
So, you’re saying that when you view your page source the OG tags show link to your logo and not to the featured image? That is very weird.
In the latest version I’m seeing two OG image tags, both with my featured image link, and one twitter tag with featured image link — not sure why there is duplicate there, unless theme inserting one as well as YOAST, or yet another (sigh) bug in Yoast’s SEO plugin (when you put out a plugin, then issue 2 patches the same day for bugs, shows a lack of testing on Yoast’s part, sadly).
Note that G+, and Facebook don’t “always” grab the correct image. If you see the proper OG and twitter tags in your meta data doing “view source” it’s not a meta data problem, but an issue with Google.
Having the same kind of problem since the 4.2.1 update, Chris. Mainly on Google+ sharing. Using Yoast and Easy Social Share Buttons from Code Canyon the image attached to the share is my logo, not the featured image. All posts get a featured image and this started happening immediately following the latest theme update.
It’s found in the folder when you download all the files from Themeforest. 🙂
They really should add a note about this in the documentation, as it’s standard practice to include version info with file downloads. However most folks new to webdev would not know that.
