Hi

Try this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css to change tha background color for mobile menu: http://screencast.com/t/D2ieUCRlBOhj

@media(max-width: 768px){
.td-header-main-menu{
background-color: red;
}
}

Let me know how it goes and if this is not what you mean please provide your site url and more specific details about the part which you want to edit so I can inspect this and get back to you with the proper code.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I’ve been trying to figure out how I can change the background colour on the mobile version only.

One of my sites is due a redesign, I’ve redesigned the logo in Orange and black with a grey accent. I’ve set the main nav colours to the same colour configuration with the grey acting as the background colour for the nav and it looks great until you go to the mobile menu because part of the png logo is lost in the background of the main nav colour that’transferred over from the themes main nav colour scheme

Basically I want the main nav on desktop to be as it is (because the logo isn’t sat inside it, it’s great)but I’d like to change the nav colour on mobile only to white so the grey bits of my logo are visible again.

Many thanks

Hi,
The top menu is hidden on the mobile menu, but you need to provide a link to your website so we can create a css code for it.
Thanks.

Hello,
this type of issues usually occur due to plugin conflicts. Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then check your mobile menu again. If you use a child theme, please try to activate the main theme to see if the problem does not come from there.
Let us know.
Thank you!

Hopefully it’s a non issue.

You might do a Google search for the issue, which is usually best thing to do:

e.g.,

https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cloaked-site

============================

Upshot means “in conclusion” … it’s not a theme issue, so something you have added to your site means things YOU have added like a plugin — the theme doesn’t add plugins to your site, you do.

SO you need to debug what you’ve done to the site that caused the issue. If 10,000 people don’t have an issue, and you do — it’s pretty obvious that something you “added” (meaning, install a plugin, add javascript code, etc.) is causing the issue.

The only way to debug is to turn stuff OFF until you figure out what it is; remove stuff you added like custom javascript loading something from elsewhere, etc.

If something is being “cloaked” by a plugin — whatever that actually means — then it might be an issue, might not be. What is the exact meaning of “cloaked” in this context? For example hiding a menu from desktop, and only showing it for mobile users, might technically be “cloaking” or “hidden” until needed.

If something is hidden “behind” something and not see to visitors but is loaded in the browser, that is a problem as that is how malware is hidden, such as an on click event behind a login box, etc.

Best of luck.

Hi, when visiting from mobile, the top bar is hidden.

Hello heymrdj,

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to switch the theme menu mobile to appear earlier than its current preset, sorry! Please notice that it is not a simple task and require additional customizations which involve custom work. As a hint, you have to check your style.css to find the line where the mobile menu is created and then you should change the @media attribute as you wish. If you want to develop our theme through displaying more levels and if you are not aware to the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,

I’d like to switch the theme to the mobile (hamburger) menu earlier than its current preset, can you tell me how to do this? I’m assuming its a bit of custom CSS??

Thanks

Hi,
I have checked your website and saw a bunch of issues. Js errors in your console,, mixed content errors (SSL issue), the search icon and the menu are not aligned. The mobile menu icon is also not aligned to the logo on mobile. This can only be one of 2 things. Either you have custom modifications that were not done properly or there is a plugin conflict.
If you have modifications, please try to restore the theme to it’s default state and check if the issues are still there. If you did not customize anything, then please disable ALL plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then check your website again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hello,
It seems your menu items are not clickable in the desktop version as well. You added the menu items with custom links that lead to ‘#’. If you want these links clickable on mobile, please add your menu items with links to the pages you want.
Thank you!

That is exactly the code I added when I was chatting with the MaxCDN guy the other night, but we eventually got it working by doing something else. So now something really odd is happening: Everything is working fine when I’m on the desktop version of my site, but not only mobile version. When I pull my site up on my phone, there’s no menu icon to the left of the header, no search icon to the right of the header, and no social media icons in the footer. I can’t fathom why it would be working on the desktop version and not on the mobile as I would assume both the desktop and mobile are pulling the data from the same servers. And I’ve cleared/purged all my caches too.

This technology stuff is a pain is the rear sometimes a lot of the time.

Hello @airlift, @ingilizcecin,

I have checked you website and saw the problem with the mobile menu. I suspect this problem that comes rather from your untested plugins which you are using to your website. These plugins interact with our theme and could cause a lot of errors. To avoid this case, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Please try this advice and after this check if your problem is still there. Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.

Thank you for your message!

Hello Navneet,

I have checked you website and saw the problem with the mobile menu. This kind of issue does not come from our tag div booster because this type of plugin is tested with our theme and works fine. Im having a lot of issues with the mobile menu over my site, http://www.canalantigua.tv I’ve disabled all plugins and still the menu doesnt work.

I’ve tested it on my device and there is the problem, not when I use my desktop browser and resize it to mobile.

BUG (Tested in Chrome latest, 1366×768, Example page: http://inserbia.info/today/2016/01/serbian-police-vs-arab-refugee-children/):

– Header Style 8 (Hybrid menu 2) – When sticky menu is turned on, when user scrolls down and sticky menu appears, the mega menu is floated left instead center. Also, default logo space size (i think it was 250px) goes over first menu item and prohibits hovering/opening of associated submenu.

– After upgrading (Newspaper 3 to Newspaper 6) and turning on Ajax for page view counter, all page views reset to 0 views (30K+ posts). It is not big deal for me, but still … Example page had 50K+ views.

IMPROVEMENT:

– There should be a notice (maybe there is a one but I didn’t saw it) that users cannot start video in video post if default post template (site wide) is set to Style 7. Currently, only featured image (video grab) is present but there is no video file to watch (upgrade from Newspaper 3 to latest). Check example page.

– Changing default post template for all posts and single post is great, but how about changing default post template category based? I.e. I really like Style 7, but it is not good for my Video category, so I want to change ONLY in category “Video” to be default post Style 1.

– There should be 1 more field added for posts (where source, via, … is) and that is Photo credits.

– It would be nice to have (on frontend) for each post: Date and time published, date and time updated, click to get shortlink (if shortlinks are enabled).

– Add AMP support for mobile resolutions.

PERVERSION:

– Add HTML5-based Text-To-Speech library so we can have “Read me!” button on front.

Hello,
The redirects issue is a common wordpress issue and there are many online resources for it: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-error-too-many-redirects-issue-in-wordpress/
As for the website url: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
Your website now seems to display fine on mobile and desktop and the menu works properly.
I hope this helps.

Hi, I’m having some trouble finding/fixing the width at which the menu snaps from the full desktop menu to the mobile (hamburger) menu.

The issue is occurring because I have too many menu items for the preset responsive snapping feature. How can I set the snapping feature to the correct width so the menu doesn’t continue on the next line?

Unfortunately this project is very secretive and I’m unable to give out the link. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Kevin

Hi

To achieve that are required many customizations in head style in order to be displayed fine. The header was designed to display on tablet the same elements as on desktop, but on different sizes. To insert the mobile menu you need to change this implementation for the header style used.
This is a complex task which require many customization and loots of tests. Unfortunately time does not allow us to provide custom services at the moment. If you need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ to do this for you.

Thanks!
