Hi,
Regarding the above space. seems to be an issue when background is used on this header style(8) and I added this on our list and it will be fixed as soon as possible. Sorry for inconvenience!
Unfortunately I cannot provide a css solution to display the mobile logo as the style 7 has the menu always sticky so I cannot use sticky class to show it and hide the main logo. this how it was created, sorry!
Thanks!
Ahhhhh…I get it. If you have 99 posts, the big grid displays posts 1-5 of the category and the archive lists posts 6 – 99.
Got it. Understood 100%
OK so THIS is my goal:
– I want PAGE with big grid.
– I want block 11 below that lists posts
BUT BUT BUT
– I need a horizontal list of pages between them that looks JUST like the horizontal category archive menu on a category page.
In other words, I have category global settings as Style 1, Article display view of M11. But in between them, there is a horizontal menu of categories.
I want a section that would list my pages w/ the css / layout that matches your horizontal menu of categories because its PERFECT for smartphones / mobile phones / androids / iphones. I dont want my mobile users to have to open the “td-demo-header-menu” on their mobile because it appears on the left and its not always clear how to switch pages. I want them to simply click the page links. Thats it. Just as if it were that horizontal category menu…but its a list of pages.
Get it?
Is there a way for you to take the php that creates that horizontal category menu, change it so that it lists pages instead…and then tell me how to insert it into the space between my chosen layout: Big Grid on top, horizontal page menu in the middle, block 11 on the bottom?
Thanks again for the help;
I’ve added the css (like before) see screenshot – however when refreshing the page in a normal browser and resizing it to mobile size or even with my iphone6 plus – i don’t see the menu. Could this be a server caching issue or is something else wrong?

Hi,
Started building website using Newspaper theme and found below said issue.
Header Style: Style 7 – Hybrid Menu on right with logo
STICKY MENU: Always at the top of the pages
LOGO ON STICKY MENU: Mobile Logo
I uploaded different logo under “LOGO UPLOAD” and “LOGO MOBILE”.
However, when I scroll down and up, the sticky bar still shows my Head logo not the mobile logo.
I checked in two test website and it happens the same.
Am I missing anything here?

Siraj
Hi,
1. Unfortunately this comes from bbpress plugin as we don’t alter the plugin’s code, it supports bbpress without any custom templates. So you will have to edit the plugins file if you want to change this – http://screencast.com/t/zzHKRw2ct
You can implement popup log in/register widget using:
echo '<a class="td-login-modal-js" data-effect="mpf-td-login-effect" href="#login-form"><strong> Log in/Register</strong></a>';
2. Unfortunately the top menu was not designed for mobile devices, we will try to find a better implementation for sign in/register widgets in a future update. Until then you can try this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css: http://screencast.com/t/cw4mTt1hSINv
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block !important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
}
.menu-top-container {
display: none !important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-widget {
display: none !important;
}
}
Thanks!

Hi
Please check this topic, Lucian posted a solution here:: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/top-menu-bar-doesnt-show-on-mobile/
Thanks!
Hi Guys.
I have Newspaper the latest version V 6.3.2.
My website is http://www.faceofmalawi.com
1) My problem is that the News ticker, homepage pagination, mobile menu are not working. Here are the details of each:
News ticker: shows the first post and when i click on next icon,, nothing comes up a # is just added to the end of my url.
Homepage Navigation: I tried all 3 options of navigation (prev&next, infinity load, load more button) nothing happen when i click them on the homepage, just a # is added to the end of my url. But on category pages and others pagination works fine. Its only the homepage thats unable to work these functions.
Mobile Menu : When I click/touch on the menu icon while on mobile device the menu does not come up just a # added to the end of my url.
Being a developer I got to thinking this might be some js or jquery problem – all related, but i couldnt find what is causing it. Even tried to deactivate all plugins except Visual composer incase of a conflict but the problem still persists. What could be the issue here? please check my site as the problem is still like this url: http://www.faceofmalawi.com
2) Not sure if this is related to problem number 1 above, but when I mouse over menu items on desktop site there sub items do not display until I am directly mouse overing the specific item, Also note that when I installed theme images were not showing so I searched this forum and used the ‘opacity‘ work-around to show the images, could this also be what I need to do for these menu items. Please advise.
I like v6 of the theme, you guys did a really great job if you can help me with these minor issues I would be very grateful.
Regards
Sean
Hi Andrei,
by centering the menu like described above the mobile menu view is broken. Is there a way to center via css and have both, the mobile menu and the desktop menu centered?
desktop view: http://screencast.com/t/anOUbh6W
mobile, responsive view: http://screencast.com/t/anOUbh6W
thanks!
Hi Emil
sorry but I’ve done what suggested, but it’s always the same. The correct path of custom font is charged with a wrong path while the navigation is made from different page then the home page.
Please also remember the other fonts issue regarding mobile phone menu and NEWS TICKER TITLE (doesn’t change the css directive for .td-trending-now-title)
I’m sending you an email with the login credential
Tks
Roberto
Hi, I’ve updated to Newspaper 6 last night.
I have a big problem with my home page, maybe related with Cache Plugin (I use W3 Total Cache).
When I look at the homepage as an administrator, it works fine. But when I look at it as a normal user (so without excluding the W3 plugin) the page loses its style, and it becomes a mess. It seems that it tries to use the mobile menu instead of the desktop one.
I’ve tried to deactivate W3, but nothing changed.
I’ve tried to delete the homepage and create a new one, but nothing changed.
I’ve tried to create another page with the same blocks of the homepage, but with a different name, and this one works fine even with the cache plugin, but when I change its name and I try to make it the home page, everything comes back to the same problem.
Any ideas?
My homepage is here: http://www.cinquecosebelle.it
Hi
I wanna report problem with custom font:
I’ve charged the configuration with 2 custom font in the “Add custom fonts / Change google fonts settings” panel as described in the documentation but after reload a page different from the homepage the fonts are not charged correctly.
Inspecting the page load with firebug I see that the url of the font is wrong (in the confiration I’ve wrote the full URL http://beta.ilnostrobimbo.it/wp-content/font/xxx.woff)
Homepage URL (correct)
http://beta.ilnostrobimbo.it/wp-content/font/xxx.woff
Other page URL (not correct)
http://beta.ilnostrobimbo.it/building-a-gimbal-in-rust-an-introduction/wp-content/font/stanberry.woff
I think that this needs code review for the function.
I also report problem with the mobile custom view of the font menu. If try to explore the site from mobile phone, the menu font are standard, else if I changed them in font custom panel.
Need your support to solve this issue.
Tks
Roberto
Hi,
Just paste this code in Theme Panel > Custom Css – http://screencast.com/t/MbJWkqsf
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full, .td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap, .td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu {
background-color: #fff !important;
}
#td-top-mobile-toggle i, .header-search-wrap #td-header-search-button .td-icon-search {
color: #222 !important;
}
}
Result: http://screencast.com/t/TC2Qt7US
Thanks!
Hi k24,
I have checked your site and the issue with social icons is happening also on desktop. Please check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files as I see that you use CDN, then see if you still have this issue with social counter icons.
If this doesn’t fix the issue, please try to replace elements.png and elements@2x.png files with those provided with the theme version that you use – http://screencast.com/t/NYJ6voKq
Regarding mobile menu you can use custom css the change it color: http://screencast.com/t/eu3aUxL2pm
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full, .td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap, .td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu {
background-color: #fff !important;
}
#td-top-mobile-toggle i, .header-search-wrap #td-header-search-button .td-icon-search {
color: #222 !important;
}
}
Yes, you can use this guide to update the theme to the latest version(A-also video tutorial,B,C) – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and you can do this without plugins active and then update the Visual Composer and other plugins that come with the theme(if you use).
Thanks!
Hi,
1. You just create the page, find the page id and copy it on the mega menu. The page content will appear in the Mega Menu.
2. You could use css to hide uber menu on mobile devices, we use this on the theme top menu. You just have to find the class used on it’s container and use media queries, ex:
@media(max-width: 767px) {
.ubermenuclass {
display: none;
}
}
If you can’t find it please provide the site url and i’ll take a look.
Thank you!

Hey Tagdiv Team,
I’m trying to customize the header, but now I’m using Style 6 header menu.
I just want to Remove my Top Blue Bar in which you see Date.
I disable Top menu bar from theme menu but i can’t remove Blue Strip!!
And if i remove from editor, works fine on desktop but i can’t see mobile menu then

Thanks
hi everyone …
i have seen the page megamenu option in the manual og the new theme version. the thing is, that i do undestand how to integrate a page via it’s id into the menu. but what i do NOT understand is, what i would have to do with a page to show up the things i would like to see …
i (of course guess) that i will have to create a page 😉 … But whats next?
———————
So i have tried to install (once again) the uber menu. And i must say, that i came just a few steps more ahead than in my past unsuccessfull tests. I made it appear in my main menu. and it shows up as its configured now. that is really a success for my skill-level! 🙂
But: i do have a problem with a “double-menu” on mobile devices. i cannot find out how to unattach the uber menu from mobile devices. I have found the link to the integration manual on the uber website. but this integration is for the old version of the theme. so i cannot “simply” uncheck the uber menu for my mobile menu, as described there.
the old theme version had 4 menu locations? (header, main, footer, mobile) is that correct? and version 6 only has three of them? (header, main, footer)
so there is no more specific mobile location menu in version 6? how could i get rid off the uber menu on other devcices than desktop an tablet versions of my site?
best regards 🙂
Torsten
Hi
By default the theme changes the header background to black on mobile devices, but you can customize it as you like with custom css like here: http://screencast.com/t/kprRELdlKXF8
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full, .td-footer-wrapper{
background-color: red!important;
}
}
Thanks!
I find the plugin very stable now, I would say it’s 5 times better than what I had available originally 8/9 months ago, when I started this as a hobbie at first. Again, I recommend a decent server, the cheapest one will require work to stay fast and deliver a pleasant user experience (like CDN, cache, optimized images, etc)
Dates are now easily set, used to be an headache. Depends what one consider “small things” I guess 🙂 everything that is standard or mainstream works very well.
Comments are not affected by the plugin (except for the labels of the input fields ofc), a comment made in a post, regardless of its content or its language, will appear in all versions (languages) of the post/page. I remember I stumbled upon an extension/plugin which allowed to show comments separated per language, I see it can be useful in some cases but it is not for mine, a least for now, so I never used/tested it. Out of the box, no option is given to the user commentating in regard of classifying a post as being in any particular language.
Menus are great, I just need to customize the theme or the plugin to show a flag in mobile, between the icons of search and slide the menu. Right now is ok but (just one click away) but I kindda like gimmicks
You can have a look at http://www.infoporto.pt but I still have some bugs and it might not be the best example because it has some customizations and custom post types and custom post fields… I just started January and I have other things not related to the site it self to deal with… The hobbie became serious but I had to focus first on one language first because, in my case, there’s a will to have some depth in the differences of the contents of each language (2 so far, soon professionals will be hired to translate a more solid number). I also had delays in releasing “final” and complete version of my site cause of constant developments, newspaper seems to support child themes and custom post types now so I need to check out that first before continuing to fine tune the custom functions I already made.
Hi,
Yes, the top menu bar isn’t deigned to work on mobiles devices and it’s hidden you can change that using custom css and set the top menu to display but please note that it may need additional customizations.
You can use this custom css: http://screencast.com/t/wVe7cHrc
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block;
}
}
Thanks
Hi,
Try the solution presented here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/touchy/#post-56478
You’ll be able to set a different menu (with a different order) for the mobile view.
Thank you!
My top menu bar doesn’t show on mobile… Is this normal?
Thanks
Hi,
How can I change the order of items on the mobile menu?
http://www.hayom.org.il/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Mobile-Menu.jpg
I want him to just start in reverse order .. (The Home at the top).
Thank You!
I was looking to get an answer to the same question and the main reasons I have to use the admin bar are:
1. Because of buddypress options that get added to the admin bar. How do we add buddypress fields to the tagdiv login modal?
2. Tagdiv login modal can only launch from the header menu (top bar of tagdiv) – which is not responsive (is not sticky for mobile screens). How can we get the tagdiv login modal to launch from other places in the UI?
Even when I use the buddypress admin bar – it gets hidden behind the tagdiv main menu. Is there a way to make sure that tagdiv menu doesn’t hide the buddypress flyout?
Hi
If you want the same color on the mobile version you can use custom css but notice that you need to change the color of the mobile menu and the search button, because will not be visible.
@media (max-width: 767px){}
.td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu{
background-color: white !important;
}
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
#td-top-mobile-toggle i{
color: #0A0A0A;
}
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
.header-search-wrap .td-icon-search {
color: #000 !important;
}
Please post your issue on Newspaper forum https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/
Thanks!
