- TutorialsWhat is Ajax preloading?
Hello,
The menu is the same, probably you don’t have the right sprite images or css. What version of the theme do you have?
Please make the full update again, replace all files via FTP.
Can you show us your site URL.
Thanks for the message!
The previous version of Newspaper had a very nice and bright menu button in the top left for mobile phones. Now it shows a small transparent arrow that isn’t very noticable. Is there a way we can bring back the menu text so that it is more visible?
I believe the top header ad is messing up the header layout when viewing on mobile devices.
How can we disable the top header just like the inline ad? I don’t even have the option in the dropdown menu.

Hello,
1. for the date you will have to change the wordpress language.
2. edit the menu and change it (for the icons text on mobiles use the translation panel from the theme) http://screencast.com/t/pZqAzC2CCgWP
3. http://screencast.com/t/uVwUi6EO
4. woops 🙂 we missed them in the translations panel. You can edit the social counter plugin: td-social-counter.php like so http://screencast.com/t/tuXHNwyXH we will fix this in the next update.
5. use the panel
6. the panel and edit the block in visual composer
Hope this helps
Okey Marius, thanks!
Hello,
Today we will release the patch fix. Please replace this files elements.png, elements@2x.png and style.css from the full theme(not patch)
Thanks!
I have the same problem… i upload again this two files elements.png and elements@2x.png but in iphone 5 not show the icons
I don’t use the patch files. I uploaded the whole new 2.0 theme folder..
Found the reason!
The sprite files were not included in the patch folder. You have to grab them from the complete theme folder and update them seperately.
I have the same problem.. And is also happening on the desktop version. I updated the sprite files but the issue still.
Hello,
Please update that 2 sprite files. You have the old files. Update elements.png and elements@2x.png
Thanks for the message!
Sorry, i found the patch folder. Thanks for that.
Hi there!
I’m using the Newspaper theme on http://denkfabrikblog.de and have to report some really annoying bug that appeared with version 2.0
The elements.png doesn’t show up in the menu on mobile devices as can be seen in the following screenshots:
It’s not that the file would be missing. It’s still there:
http://denkfabrikblog.de/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/sprite/elements.png
http://denkfabrikblog.de/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/sprite/elements@2x.png
And it should be displayed in the relevant mobile resolutions as can be seen here:
http://responsive.pixeltuner.de/?s=http%3A%2F%2Fdenkfabrikblog.de
So, what did I break during the update-process? Where should I look?
Or ist it a general problem?
I’d be glad to hear from you.
Thanks in advance!
Manuel
Also where to find the update log for version 2.0? I mean the list of files that i need to replace.
Tried but not working. Making changes in main style only. I think it will give troubles while updating theme.
Hello,
The Child theme should work fine for CSS. Try with !important on CSS in some case and see if works.
Thanks for the message!
Yes, i found it. i think main menu is not a fixed menu in mobile like desktop, So there wont be any problem with the 2 menus on top of the page. now i had used responsive menu plugin and made top menu as responsive and works great. 🙂
But i am having issues with the child theme style.css. styles i am adding there are not overriding the main styles. Can you tell me why it is happening.
Thanks for the support.
Hello,
We hide it on mobile because there is no space for 2 menus. You can display it again from style.css search for .td-header-menu-wrap and change like here http://screencast.com/t/JnPrGv0P
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
I am using wordpress multiste. On top menu we will show links to all blogs in our multisite and in menubar we will show category for that particular blog. so i need to show top menu in mobile as well to navigate from other blog to another. How to do this.
Regards,
Suresh
Hello,
I too tested the floating menu and it works. We are working to fix the logo.
Radu form tagDiv
Ok fine.
How do you solve the problem?
Sincerely
Looking at your site, I would guess it’s probably a conflict with the 5 ad widgets on the page, adding the floating social media box, and other stuff. You very likely have at least one conflict going on there, unrelated to the theme; including something breaking the menu when going to mobile site width in IE. I’d try turning some of that stuff off, then back on to see which one is causing the error, as I’ve not had that issue in very hard testing of the theme on a working site.
Sorry to butt in… waiting for a backup to run, so putting in my 2 cents here as a long time WP user and theme debugger 🙂
(I’m on IE10/Win7-64)
Hello,
Because the menu is on top. You can use the arrow to go to top. We will improve this in the following updates.
Thanks
