The problem is that this problem is caused by the theme. I have tried all to optimizes the website with no results in mobile devices. In desktop works good and the lazy load looks great. So, I don’t want to disable it.
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/ – this mesh also has horizontal scrolling and not adjusted to the mobile device. A screenshot is attached.

you make fully responsive theme, so why not do adaptive data elements Big Grid?
I installed the mobile theme and it seems to work well. Unfortunately, it wants to use 741 x 486 images, which are used nowhere else. My news site has 25,500 images, and I have 12 sizes turned on because of the blocks and styles I use. So now, just to fer two top of page images on mobile, using the plugin means I have to allow the 741 x 486 size and I have to regenerate 25,500 images and pass them through ShortPixel so they are optimized.
Why can’t mobile theme use 696x 385, the same as Slider2 ?
By the way, although this size is listed in the Theme Panel, it doesn’t say the mobile theme needs this.
Could you make this sizing based on the sizes in use, or allow it to be set in the Theme Panel, or, What about making this the size of a mobile phone? What mobile phones are 741 px wide? not mine!
I use Newspaper Black Version, but i install tagDiv Mobile Theme and it change all background to white? i want all in black. Where i can change to black? http://prntscr.com/i6330v
and i need to remove that “О НАС”http://prntscr.com/i6339s
I don’t recall page builder shortcodes working in the mobile theme as you mention. The solution does work, the same content from desktop will appear on mobile devices, if the mobile theme plugin is deactivated.
In that case the mobile menu bar and other menu color settings can be made here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/frwnJxOY
If the setting does not work, please set the color you want and provide a link to the website so we can inspect it. Also on mobile a different logo can be displayed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Pk5KLjfs
Set the logo you want to appear on mobile there, or the default header logo will be shown.
The mobile theme was created to eliminate the use of page builder elements, thus increasing performance. If the page builder elements could be used, there would be no point to use the mobile theme in the first place.
Thanks
Hi,
I have got some feature requests, could you please look to add them in upcoming updates.
1) AMP theme and ads – Currently AMP plugin by automatic doesn’t display ads, could you come up with a new AMP plugin and allow us to display ads(more like a mobile theme plugin which you have).
2) Message box/ alert box + custom list shortcode – I know we can display a neat message box using custom css code. But if you could add it under shortcodes dropdown options (where buttons, dropbox and other shortcodes) are present, it would be great. Something like this –
https://snag.gy/8bdvku.jpg
https://snag.gy/PJnDwj.jpg
3) Ability to style quotes – Is there a way to set background for quotes ?. Something like this –
https://snag.gy/va4PHe.jpg
4) Ads on/off switch – Can you create a option to turn off ads for whole site at once ?. Currently one has delete the ads from all the locations > save to see how better website works with / without ads.
5) Adblocker detection – Can you add a feature where the website reports that adblocker is detected and one has to disable to view the site.
6) Post update date – Can you add an option to show post last updated date ?. I am very sure the current workaround of replacing the code doesn’t work well.
Thanks for the reply. I meant the featured images on the posts that belongs to a particular category in mobile theme.
For me the Like is displayed in English, I have tried to change it as you mention
– https://www.screencast.com/t/08G6z680X
Seems to work on desktop – https://www.screencast.com/t/mrsklJspC
And on mobile as well – https://www.screencast.com/t/UZ7behFArict
Code entered in the theme panel will be saved in the database, so this is considered a safe way to use custom code. It will not be lost after a theme update.
but I bought the same theme about a year ago as well – and in that version it works without problems when I put in the composer-code on several pages. I was wondering why it does not work anymore. In the old version there where also more options with several fields.
your solution does not work: When I deactivate the mobile theme I have several troubles on mobile: first of all I cannot define the background color of the mobile header. It is black in the desktop version but white in the mobile version and with a white logo – that sucks. second the menu does not work before the page is fully loaded.
I cannot build every page two times – thats really not practical. Please don’t give me the “leave us alone answers”, rather than some constructive tipps. It worked already, so you can make it work again I guess. Or tell me how to deactivate the mobile theme only on several sites.
Hello,
Yes indeed amp implementation in our theme is on they way, but for the moment i can;t say for sure if it will work together with the mobile theme or not. It is still in development and a final decision was not taken in this regard.
I’m not sure what featured images you are referring to for categories though. A category does not have a featured image in our theme. Please provide an example of the immage you are referring to so I can provide the proper code.
Thank you!
Hi,
Page builder shortcodes will not be interpreted on mobile pages, they are not meant to. You can simply deactivate the mobile theme plugins if you want to display page builder content, it is optional to install it.
The mobile theme is meant to be used if you want to present a different and simpler version of the pages, and website all around. The page content is limited to the MCE editor and it’s capabilities. More about the mobile theme here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Please provide a link to your website so I can see the issue and inspect it, the code should work on both desktop and mobile. If you use the mobile theme enter it in the mobile theme custom code dedicated section as well.
You can add any code in the custom code sections of the theme panel, in the child theme stylesheet or directly in the theme stylesheet.
Thanks
Hello I have recently started using the tagdiv composer and deleted visual composer. Currently the mobile theme is active. How to hide the featured image displayed at the top of each pages for a particular category. I’m looking for a simple CSS solution. I hear that the official AMP plugin will be released soon. What about the mobile plugin after that. Is it mandatory to use both the plugins or just the AMP. I have another blog that requires AMP support. Can I wait for the official AMP plugin or the official AMP plugin?
Thanks in Advance.
Hello,
The mobile theme will show the same menu style as the responsive mobile menu. It is just a different menu. You have to create a new menu or assign an existing one for the mobile template. There will be a new option in the menus section of wordpress.
The articles and categories will remain unchanged.
Thank you!
Hello,
The mobile theme will not render an any shortcodes if this is what you are trying to achieve. It was built to ignore shortcodes. The main mobile theme page is found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/GFMYdhxYO
Thank you!
View how to display blocks when viewed on mobile/ tablet at this website –
https://singularityhub.com/#sm.00004gpe8x45xe9iwvg14h40hyc8i
The site uses your theme, but the blocks are arranged in order, no horizontal scrolling.
Hello,
Sorry but our theme does not have any option to show the desktop menu on mobile devices. There is no simple solution to disable the mobile menu. Sorry
Thanks.
The scroll to top button has been hidden on mobile devices by default.
If you want to enable it you must use this custom css in the theme panel-> custom css box:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-scroll-up {
display: block;
}}
Thanks.
Hi,
That would only be possible my overriding the theme responsive design. That is how the grid will display on mobile devices, with a horizontal scroll. Each element is predefined as to how it will behave in all circumstances.
I could give it a try and provide you a custom code, please specify for what grid type you want this, or provide a link to your website where the grid is present. I can’t promise anything, making modifications to blocks and grids layouts are not recommended.
Thanks

Hi,
any official advice from the TagDiv Team? (no offense Chris – your posts are great 🙂 )
I’ve read in another thread that AMP will be implemented in Newspaper a future update. So is it recommended to use the Mobile Theme for the moment and wait for the AMP-update of the theme?
My site is tbtbangla.com. im using tagdive mobile theme plugin which is pretty much fast but too simple and lack of customization. On the other hand on PC the sites loads too slow like 7 min!. As i am ameature in web developing i want some customized settings for loading website fast both in mobile & desktop. i have installed following plug ins.
1.jetpack
2.wp smush
3.wp super cache
4.yost seo
5.facebook instant article
tried uninstall and seen no change. Please solve my issue asap
I’ve followed the instructions here and removed the code indicated: https://www.screencast.com/t/nTde1SGwJid.
However, I’m still seeing the og:image added. I’ve been through the documentation and forums here and it seems like removing this code should do the trick, but that extra line with og:image still appears. Is there another way to troubleshoot this? I’ve removed from my main and the child theme and from mobile just in case.
