Hello Pierreto,

Unfortunately, our mobile theme plugin does not have any such an option for it, sorry! If you want to have some additional options for it, you should implement it yourself and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for the message!

I can see some plugins in theme panel, but my question is do we have to pay to activate Revolution Slider, tagDiv Mobile Theme, and Visual Composer? Because those are not installed and activated by default.

Thank you

Hello,
I installed the Mobile Theme zip today and as soon it was activated “500 Internal Server Error” appeared on mobile. I followed all the tagdiv-forum instructions but could not get it fixed. In the end I chatted with my host wordpress.com and they figured out this:
PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/wpcom-129080905/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile../td_deploy_mode.php’ (include_path=’/:.’) in /wpcom-129080905/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/mobile/functions.php on line 11

What does it mean?
Regards

Hello andrewm,

If you want to make some changes to the mobile theme plugin, notice that you must edit the corresponding files with the mobile version. As a hint, you should begin to edit the files from the mobile folder from theme’s packet.

Thanks for your understanding!

I use the mobile theme. The thing is that the top grid is not displaying but the latest articles does display. And I donÂŽt know why.

Hello,

It depends if you use the mobile theme or not. If you use the mobile theme you have to use the second editor present in your page edit screen. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/mobile+theme/

Thank you!

Hello,

@SonjaTod

Please check your theme panel and the ads section. Is there an ad in the header ad spot?
Check the logo and the footer section in the theme panel.
Maybe the update was not done properly. Please use this guide and update your theme again: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

@l2c

Your problem is different. You mentioned your desktop shows the mobile version. How is that similar to not showing ads and the footer?

Thank you!

Hello,
Not every site has pages instead of posts. A news site uses posts and categories to show content, not pages. Our theme addresses the news segment so normally posts and categories are required for news websites.
Pages will not have sub-menus in a mega menu. The mobvile menu does not show the mega menu.

@4kfilme
if you need a separate menu for mobile devices, there is an option for this if you use the mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hi, we use our own bespoke comment system for WordPress. For the desktop version of the site, we have successfully replaced the link to default WordPress comments to our own one, however when viewing the site on mobile (we’re using the td mobile plugin) the default WordPress comment link appears.

Can you point me to the file within the theme or mobile plugin which contains this link so we can modify it?

Thanks.

Hello Girugten,

I have inspected your setup page and I saw that you are using the mobile theme plugin for mobile mode. So, please make sure that your mobile menu has been set up from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ggS3DdlPq

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

I think thats one of the biggest flaws of the theme. I would recommend a seperate mobile menue, one that the user could assign. So you have your regular main menue (you can use with sites) and your mobile menue (assigned in the theme panel). Also a mega dropdown menue would be the bomb. The team should really look into this. the menue structure is crucial to every page. Im with Stefan on this one!

Hello arolson87,

Please keep in mind that if you want to add more options for mobile theme plugin, you should manually edit the theme’s core files regarding on this plugin. As a hint, you can start from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/uIvACtAji8 Notice that is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

Hello,
You can hide elements at any time using css. Tagdiv composer allows you to add an extra class to a block and then you can use that class with css to hide the block in mobile screens. Here is an example: https://www.screencast.com/t/PRC1i1uUv
Then you can use this code:
.customclass{
display:none!
}

Add it in the theme panel under custom code for mobile devices(advanced css tab).

Thank you!

Hello all,

If you want to follow the Google Algorithm you should simply disable the Mobile Theme and then, the theme will be automatically switched to the general responsive layout and you will have the same content for any type of devices. Notice that the Mobile Theme is an optional plugin which gives you more opportunities to increase your page speed loading on mobile and also, gives you more option for your website on mobile devices.

Hello,

Unfortunately i cannot say for sure why it happens. Jetpack has lots of settings and not all of them will work properly. Photon and the mobile theme are known to cause issues with our theme so there could be other settings as well that could be newly added and create problems. It could also be another plugin together with jetpack.
Try to run a few more tests and check your browser console.

Thank you!

Hello,

The mobile theme fonts can only be changed with css. Please add this code in your theme panel-> custom css box:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.post header .entry-title{
font-size:24px!important;
}}

Thank you!

Hello,

I’m running the mobile theme for Newspaper on my site http://www.thecordovatimes.com, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to get more ad spots on mobile.

I would also like to know if there’s a way to edit the mobile theme to populate more posts on the mobile home page.

Thank you!

I recorde 2 videos to show you the problems. When the videos were recorded, there was no custom css and all the caches were cleaned.

Viedo 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YIkaJg132c&feature=youtu.be
All the content made with visual composer is loading boxed first, and then it turns to full width.

Video 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CStlOlzaVNw&feature=youtu.be
It always loads first the default theme font, and then it turns to the one I definded on the theme panel (the font is custom and I uploaded it trought the theme).

Then, if you go to my site on mobile, you will see the effect is the same in both cases, and moreover the menu is loading black first, and then it turns to white.

Everything is very strange… 🙁

Hello,

Just about to deploy our first Tagdiv’s theme and I need to be reassured about these remarks. Is there any side effects by using desktop + mobile theme rather than only one responsive desktop theme for seo ?
Thanks.

You’re taking this in a different way. I have been using Tagdiv’s theme for almost a year now. Also have been using the Mobile theme to provide the best experience. But recently Google made a big change in their Algorithm: Mobile First Index.

Please read it and tell if Tagdiv’s mobile version will have any effect. Thanks!
