Hi,
I couldn’t check your site: http://screencast.com/t/oKuqFX38QZi
Also please provide more details. Big Slider doesn’t work on mobiles and tablets? Or only for mobiles?
Thanks!
You would need to, at very least, edit the style.css file to remove the @media calls for the mobile devices sizes.
This is a responsive theme, so not really easy to remove the framework under which it was created and marketed.
I recently purchased the theme, and love it, but it is taking a lot of work to set up. I have a few questions, if someone wouldn’t mind helping me out.
1) How do I change the text of the “trending now” thing to say something like “recent posts” or the like?
2) When I click on a post (from the homepage) it takes me to that post, but the sidebar then goes completely blank. How do I add a sidebar so that it shows up on blog posts, and pages, as well?
3) When I try to load the site on my mobile phone it says it cannot be found (yet every other website loads and looks fine). Why is the mobile site, for my phone, not working?
Thank you in advance!
Often the problem with a robots.txt file is that it can, by default, block areas of the WP install which actually have the elements needed to render the mobile version, such as the theme folder, or similar. However, this is usually done by a developer, or an automatic file created by server side hosting WP auto-installers, etc.
The theme is responsive, which means the same theme is being loaded for desktop and mobile devices, and only the CSS changes for the “viewport” … meaning, the same style.css file is loaded by either device, but the mobile deice “reads” the part of the CSS that pertains to that size (“viewport”).
Technically, if you have an issue in your robots.txt file, you can actually open that and look at it; and remove everything except any special blocking you might have in place for an abusive content bot, or any directive to Google to NOT index something like a /members/ folder, etc.
Put another way, simply empty your robots.txt file if you feel it’s blocking something! WordPress technically doesn’t use it for anything.
Old school folks might want to put link to their xml sitemap for those spiders which don’t know how to find it (e.g., Google and Bing – you should be submitting that in your webmaster accounts); and again might want to put in some directives for certain bots to not scrape content — but bad bots ignore those anyway.

Hi,
I’ve faced a strange problem. In google webmaster I see that my site is ok for mobile devices, but when I analyse the site with google developers tools it says that the site is not optimised for mobiles.
I looked through some forums and they say, that the problem is in robots.txt
Could you please suggest what files should be allowed to google bot, so that he sees optimised version?
Sincerely,
Vladimir
Hi,
Love the new features on this theme. I have a few questions.
1. I use a lot of video that is not from the normal sites like Vimeo, YouTube, etc. I use brightcove and the like. Can I place the video in the same place as this YouTube video on this page? http://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/td-post-shooting-with-the-gopro-hero-action-sports/
2. Is the theme compatible with buddy press?
3. Am I over looking the full width not boxed example?
4. Mobile sidebar? Since the sidebar is often placed at the bottom of the articles on mobile, does this theme have the ability to show a different sidebar for mobile?
Hi
I’m using Header Style 3 (full width logo + menu)for my homepage and uploaded a 3000×300 logo image. (I want a bigger logo than 300×100)
I’ve also used 3000×300 for mobile logo too, but the display seems too small on the top right corner. Can I make the mobile logo bigger across the header? The website is http://www.konenok.com
Do I have to make changes to css? If so, which files do I need to edit? Or where can I add the code? (I’m using a child theme)
Thank you for your help
Ken
Hi Lucian,
The site is cut off on the sides of the mobile version: http://www.thestudentmovers.com. If you look at the site on a phone, you can see that the words are being chopped off. Suggestions?
Thanks!

i attend your answer, thanks 🙂 the my web site is: mobiletoday.it
will it show only on mobile version?
Hi guys,
I got a mail from Google adsence optimization team asking me to implement this new type of mobile ad:
1) Mobile version – Implement an anchor ad: this is a new ad format that is working really well for mobile. It is a 320×50 ad units that remains fixed in the lower part of the screen, even when the user moves up and down in the page. I share with you the code. It will automatically only show for mobile users.
<script src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
style=”display:none;width:320px;height:50px”
data-ad-client=”pub-xxxxxxxxxx”
data-ad-channel=”xxxxxxxxxxx”></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({
params: { google_reactive_ad_format: 1 }
});
</script>
How can i do this within the framework of the ad system in the template?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the response. The plugin you recommended works OK for computer-use but does not do a very good job for mobile devices and smaller screens.
I have searched everywhere to try and find something that at leasts gives me the option to write custom titles instead of the regular 1, 2, 3 etc. for the paginated posts but so far – nothing. Not even among the pay-plugins on codecanyon etc.
I know this doesn´t really have anything to do with support for the theme but do you have any other ideas where I might find some plugin (or anytning) that gives me this option?
Hello, had a couple of questions regarding meta-date and their display.
First, is there anyway to keep the comment count and icon from disappearing on mobile devices? You can see as you re-size the screen, once it gets to a certain width, the comment count icon disappears. Is this just a simple CSS edit?
Also, any reason why the author isn’t showing up under title on single post pages? I looked at the loop-single.php file and it looks like there is a PHP if statement that checks to see if it’s enabled within the theme settings. It is (it shows up on the home page). Any thoughts?
Also, is there an estimated release of version 5?
Thanks,
Hi,
Sorry that didn’t fix it. Like I said above this issue appear when you use background and style 4. Please try this without background and should look like in our demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/popular-people-who-everyone-seems-to-love/ Also will work fine on mobile view.
We will try to fix it in next updates!
Also if you use post template 3, you can use background and it will look almost like your actual post with background: http://5star-kenya.com/tsavo-east-west-beginner-tour/ – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/strong-growth-and-engagement-across-our-community/
Thanks!

Thank you,
Hi…
I activated the “Smart snap – (mobile)” but it was working like i have activated the “Smart snap – (always)”.
What could be the reason behind it?
Thanks!
Hi! How can I stop the sliding option in the ioslider in the mobile versión?
I´m using an ioslider with a single post, but in the mobile, when I move the finger to the sides, it attempts to slide. The image moves to that side, but it get back in the original place. I want to don´t even try to slide, just stay in his place.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please edit footer.php file and replace with this code: http://screencast.com/t/RXiFbL9Ci
echo stripslashes($tds_footer_copyright);
Result: http://screencast.com/t/FI1jb9JyyVjK
Thanks!
Hi,
This issue appear when background is used. Try to disable background and see how it goes: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/popular-people-who-everyone-seems-to-love/
When you use background the features image doesn’t display at full width anyway, so please try to use post template 3, it has a big image and work fine with background: http://screencast.com/t/fMeXbRdR
Also if you want to use background for post template 4 please try this custom css fot mobile view(I tested and I think that works): http://screencast.com/t/dNNBWlYkIGg7
@media(max-width:767px){
.single_template_4 .td-boxed-layout .td-big-slide-background {
width: 100% !important;
}
}
Hope this helps!
Hi,
Unfortunately header style 3 and 6 use the same logo also on mobile view. It was initially created like this but we have this on our list and we will think to another implementation. Sorry for inconvenience!
Thanks!
Hi,
Please try to add an extra class to that block(text block) that you are using: http://screencast.com/t/fQhD1Ye2O
And use css code to hide it on mobile in Theme Panel > Custom Css: http://screencast.com/t/awayBCam
@media(min-width:767px){
.author{
display: none;
}
}
You can also add an extra class to the column, if on block settings don’t have extra class field: http://screencast.com/t/mMyiDOZN4YZ and css to hide it.
Thanks!
Hi…
I would like to hide the Big Slider for mobile devices with lower width than 480px…. Please let me know the CSS code either the custom codes…
Thanks!
Hi again!
I was trying to do a little customization with the logo. I tried adding the full-width logo+menu and combine it with a separate logo for the mobile. Strangely, the mobile logo never appeared, so the full width desktop logo just shortens and appears in the mobile view. I found a solution of my own. instead of using a full width logo, I am now using the default logo+ad+menu and I have added a background image to the css element(.td-boxed-layout .td-logo-rec-wrap).
I was wondering if you could see to this yourself too? maybe make it possible for me to add a separate logo for the mobile? There probably might be something wrong with the mobile-logo.php, but I am really an html guy, not much big on php, you know. So, could you pleaze see?
Hello,
I wanted to hide a column on my homepage when it’s seen in mobile devices, but nothing happened when I clicked “Column Settings” > “Width & Responsiveness” and selected the boxes to hide the content.
My site is http://cuerpoalma.com and the column I need to hide on smartphones is the one about the author (1/3 width).
Thanks for the help!
